That may have been a little over the top BUT......look at the point he/she was making.  People got all pissy because I asked Steve to not type in all caps.  When it was explained to him that is was very difficult to read he said he understood but continued to type in all caps, sooooo.....the response was posted.  Happens here all the time.  Why is this situation so different?  I think we all feel badly for STeve's physical problems but WE are treating him like any other person (which is sure how I'd want to be treated).  YOU guys defending him aren't really giving him credit for being able to stand on his own.
