You helped start Straight Dallas in '86 and came from '85 St. Pete? Were you on senior Staff?
If this is who I think it is, I would really like an apology from you personally.
Something you did to me has bothered me ever since 1986. I never thought I would ever have a chance to speak to you. You were very wrong about me. I was truely hurt by you. I would like a chance to work this out with you.
I could be wrong of course, and I apologise in advance if I am jumping to conclutions, but if not, I've waited almost 20 years to tell you one or two things.

NO. I was on fourth as i stated. I'M NOT THOSE WIZARDS YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. HARDIN, DEAN, RILEY, AND THE OTHER JOHN. I CAN'T REMEBER HIS LAST NAME. I'm "pOwerfull attitude".

I WOULD PERSONALLY BE CAREFUL TRYING TO FING THESE GUYS AGAIN. I'M SURE THEY ARE STILL WASHED.
THE RAP I DETAILED WAS LED BY THEM IN ST. PETERSBURG.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO APOLIGIZE IF YOU MISSED THE MARK. I UNDERSTAND YOU. BUT I WAS GUILTY OF WORKING THEIR GAME WHEN I CAME BACK. SO I AM GUILTY AND I ASK FOR YOUR FORGIVENESS.

REPLY PLEASE.

Sorry, that was me, I was so afraid you might have been Cameron, I was afraid to post under my user name. Will you please tell me who you are?
I have another guess, and I'm not going to ask you unless it is private, how do I do this? You're a guy right? I feel the need to connect with you because we were there together. Please reply.

Betty Sembler was doing intakes in 85???

Oh, this is something! In 83 or 84, the wicked bitch monster was claiming to not know much about the 'magic' that went on inside. She was just a business type, check signer, fund raiser, doncha know.

Please email me [email protected] and I'll give you my number to call. I would absolutely love to have some more info on this.

Hey Morli, it was good to talk to you yesterday. I didn' know Richardson stayed open that long. There are a lot of survivors around here somewhere. Maybe I can find some since i'm in Texas. I'll keep looking for ya.

I never thought that I would come across people that remembered my high school/college sweetheart, Jeff Spearman.  Jeff and I had a long history together that spanned about 6 years total.  I was never a drug user like Jeff, but the good college student that him Mom and Step Dad loved.  I owe so much to them for all their support when Jeff was in the Dallas Straight program.  I often thought about Jeff from time to time and ironically he called me on my wedding day in 1991.  It was unfortunate I did not get to talk with him, but I know that he was thinking of me and I will always remember my first love.  I met Jeff while we both were student attending high school in Orlando way back in 82.  He was my first boyfriend and I loved having someone wait for me on the front steps of our high school.  It was a very sad ending to such a precious life for Jeff, as he passed away in 1995 and only days before his 28th birthday.  Friends told me, but I just couldn't believe it until I actually saw his obituary notice in the paper.  May he rest in Peace and know that he was truly loved my me and his family.

Thank you for your kind words.  I lost contact with Jeff in 1989.  I was working at a dept. school and was about to graduate from college, when I last saw him.  He told me he was going to have a nose job.  He also told me about the wonderful job prospects his mom had set up for him at Universal Studios.  Upon his death, he was a computer graphics specialist.  I feel so much for his mom and step dad, for Jeff was her only child.  Jeff was very close to her and he lived with her for most of his life.  His dad was a different story.  His dad enrolled him in Straight Orlando sometime in 86.  I was still his girlfriend at the time, so I was the subject of many discussions about his drug use.  Everyone at Straight convinced his dad and step mom, that I was his drug problem, when I was not a drug user.  I remember going to many "rap sessions" and when that was no longer possible due to my work/class schedule, I had to report in with his dad each week to get progress on Jeff.  I don't know if Jeff ever found that special someone and I just knew that I couldn't live like this anymore.  Upon graduation from UCF, I met and married my husband, Jim.  I have been married for almost 12 years and we have three children, 8, 3, and 2.  I wondered from time to time how my first love was doing and just recently found out about his death.  A few friends from high school said that he overdosed.  I wondered if Straight had anything to do with his death?
