I attended Victory Christan Acad. from 1997-1998. I am 24 years old. It was the most horrible experience. The purpose of me writing this is to help people that might be interested in sending a loved on to this "program from adolescent girls in need of behavior modification". Not only should you read comments from former VCA students but you should look into the quality of the education of the staff members. At the age of 16 I probaly had more knowledge than some of these people. It was a mentally abusive situation that I was put in by being there. The nightmares have almost gone away (I have about 2 or 3 a year now)...it has been 7 years since I have left the facility. I have a good head on my shoulders and am doing great in life. I am a student looking forward to graduating and attending law school. So take it from me, I am not some bratty, angry, adolescent girl trying put negative information about this school to hurt the school or staff.... I am doing it as a mature adult to HELP YOU and YOUR FAMILY....please get your daughter help somewhere else. Don't make this mistake.

Yes I am in the yahoo group. I just joined about 2 or 3 weeks ago. I am also in the my space group which I like a lot better but less people are involved in that one...its just easier to communicate and post through the my space one. I hope my brief comment above will help some people make the right decisions. I just came across the book The American Gulag by Alexia Parks, I ordered the book and cannot wait to read it. Is this written about VCA???
