Shocking to see the Tib get a little respect. My amp is an older model. The 357 was the shit 5 yrs ago. That amp and the subs were in my intrepid for 2 yrs. I highly recommend the type R subs. Yes I have remote bass control. I am a big fan of Memphis and plan on getting one of their amps if the 357 ever dies. I'm not sure it will though. That thing will make your hair move at 3/4 vol and made my G/F puke once. Good times. If I ever buy subs again I'll go with W-7's probly. JL is the shit too. I don't recommend the new Alpine Type R components. The tweeters suck. Fortunately I have a spare set of older Type R tweets that are much better. On a side note, If also got the Alpine Sirius tuner box and I hardly ever play CD's anymore.

Before buying Memphis I had a U.S, Acoustic 4 channel amp, it was pretty good and reasonably priced.  also was using a very old peice of shit pyramid 2 channel amp for the subs, this amp was from the 80's, and had a ton of distortion.
Well once I heard how clear the Memphis were, I was sold, also needed to replace my U.S, Acoustic 4 channel amp because one of the channels crapped out on me. I was told how much better Memphis was and souned, and also that they were digital amps and used less eneregy, well that was bullshit. I had to add a second battery because the 2 channel would draw so much power, that my battery needle would go crazy and get a huge power drain. Once I added an addtional battery I had a total of 1475 amps, and never had a power drain experience again.

Pink, I find it very unreal a person like you who can only afford used 16 year old vehicles would even have the balls to participate in this conversation. You sit here and bad mouth Chevy and are Mr. Toyota for life and here are the reason's why.
#1 You cant afford to buy a new car,you dont even have credit to purchase a real cell phone.
#2 You live with your parents and are still a kid that has no direction or ambition in life to better yourself yet.
3# If Toyotas are so great, then why are there more older american cars on the road then Toyotas? I never see any Toyotas from the 60's,70's and hardly from the 80's still in operation on the road. Yes alot of those older cars that are classics are rebuilt or in some cases taken very well care of, but noone in their right mind would rebuild a japanase car from that era.
Chevy/GMC will always be the best built cars and trucks, they put alot of value for your dollar into their vehicles and now these days are priced right. Alot of stuff that comes standard on Chevy is optional an all others.

Of course his truck can pull his house, he lives in a fucking 1972 single-wide mobile home.

Hey Duramullet, its not what you drive, its where you park it stupid.

You've never seen a Datsun Z-car or a 1st gen Celica driving down the road? I can't really argue with that statement, I just feel bad for you...

and yes, yes I can definitely see the resemblance between myself and a young Mario ::ftard::[ This Message was edited by: Mister Pink on 2006-06-12 10:49 ]

Oh I've seen them Pink, back in the 80's. Matter of fact one of my old friends from back in the days, his dad had a datsun z.
See I am talking about today, I see lots of old American cars that are 30-50 yrs of age out on the road and running, never do I see or have seen a Jap car that old on the road.

There were quite a few of those at the Barrett Jackson car auction a few weeks back.  They went for a fairly hefty price too.

I can agree with you on that, there are probably more, and older American cars than Jap cars on the road today - but the Japanese didn't really start to cream the U.S. auto industry until recently.

In 40 years, you can expect the tables to be reversed.
