Looks like HLA has removed the "all inclusive" term from their web site now:

T U I T I O N
Hidden Lake Academy has a tuition of $5,950 per month. The monthly tuition does not include the following:
Uniforms ($1,400 at enrollment)
Computer Rental (optional $600)
Transportation for Medical/Dental Appointments (if needed)
Psychological Testing (if needed)
Formal Individual Therapy (if needed)
Transportation to the Airport for Seasonal Breaks
There are no additional "hidden costs" or enrollment fees. All school trips and activities for students are included in the monthly tuition.
HLA is an 18 month therapeutic program that expands due to the date of enrollment. Students may spend 18-21 months at HLA because they must complete the academic semester to receive academic credit. We have three graduations per year based around the academic calender - May, August and December.
Examples:
A student enrolling in January graduates the program in August of the following year.
A student enrolling in September graduates in May or 21 months later.

This is not new--it is the exact language that was part of the contract we signed before admitting our child to the school. The separate fees for doctors, toiletries, etc. have always been know. No one has tried to hide any costs from us. The only increase was in local travel costs when the price of gas when sky high. That was understandable and explained quite well. Perhaps the parents who have been writing did not read their contracts before signing them. We have always know that we paid the last three months up front--it was carefully explained. If we pulled our child, we lose the money. Having been on all inclusive vacations, there are always limits to the all inclusive. For example, alcohol may not be included. Or spa costs may not be included. Just read the contract before signing.

Hello Dumb Ass:
We're not talking about a VACATION; We're talking about our CHILDREN.
We DID read our contracts and they DID say ALL INCLUSIVE. Perhaps you enrolled your child after we had enrolled ours - did you ever think of that? No, of course not - thinking is too hard for you.
Licensed Professional Counselors and State Certified Teachers are probably extra, too. Duh.

You seem to have an anger issue. First, my child is enrolled. The teachers are qualified. The counselors working with my child have masters degreed and meet the qualifications for running peer groups. My child is doing well and is making tremendous improvements. I did for one read the contract, I read every web page, and I sought help when I realized the counseling and therapy at home was not working. Perhaps if you did not verbally harass people, more people who are positive would be able to post on this site and have good discussions and debates rather than being afraid of the name calling and abuse you heap on.
Trust me, I know of no one who wants to send their child away from home. And the parents I have met at the parents meeting are good people who are struggling, in close contact with their children, attend every meeting, love their child and are working hard toward a bright future.
No place is perfect, but it is not the hell you make it out to be.
