"it was 26 yrs ago today"
"when Miller forced me into Straight"
"things were goin in and out of style"
"because i was in his hell a while"
"so let me tell you you're gonna be screwed"
"he'll rearrange your head in group"
"that's ol' Millers Straight incorp plan!"

"thats ol'Millers Straight incorp plan"
"we hope your time here's very slow"
"that's ol' Millers Straight incorp plan"
"don't try to run there's no place to go"

"that's ol' Millers Straight oh"
"that's ol'Millers Straight oh"
"that's ol' Millers Straight incorp plan"

yes.....26 years April 18th 1981 at around 4-6 pm
after about 6 hours i finally signed myself in....
little did i know what kind of a ride i was in for!28 1/2 months later i finally stepped out of there for good.....when i think of all the bullshit Miller laided on us,the most profound thing i can remember is him actually telling us how much better we were going to be than all the rest of the ppl in our generation.....!that because of our astute "awareness" we were "super kids" older for our age than the rest!...lol....
YEAH RIGHT....its more like "uh,can you hand me my xanex, please?" or "time for my prozac, can you get me a glass of water?".....thanks Miller my ass is still bleeding after all these years!....
all of us "better ppl" want to thank you for all the phobias and horrid dreams we have.....we want to thank you for the abilities we have to keep relationships going good....we want to thank you for breaking up families and giving us lives full of misery......ruining our credibility before we were really able to have any.....and most importantly defining our lives with your great treatment facility and making us socially disfunctional....thanks a lot!.....hippie

That's the best song parody I've heard in a while!  :nworthy:

And it's funny, I was thinking of that song while reading your other posts by the same title...

And what would you have to talk about today if you never had your STRAIGHT experience?
Congrats on remembering and honoring your Intake Day!

hummm....lets see....perhaps being on the honor roll (I was on the A/B honor roll in 10th grade until straight), perhaps a 3.5+ GPA,  perhaps a homecoming?  ooo, I know, graduating high school or maybe college,  having a normal relationship before the age of 35 - and even then its fucked up,  ummm, having a hobby with normal social interactions instead of looking at people like their ready to screw me over,  maybe I would be able to talk about having a decent relationship/friendship with my little brother prior to the age of 30....should I keep going?

Like he, or any of us could really forget it???  Please - I tried & it didn?t work!  Most people tend to remember days that have traumatic impacts in their lives.  Different people deal in different ways.  Some people right songs about it, some people cry about it, other people just criticize the people that find an outlet for it.  Why would you do that?  Are you going to confront him next?

besides, like hippie said, this is a straight forum.  If there is something else you would like to talk about, there are other sites.  You don?t have to be here.
