If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.

I quite agree! I understand the aversion to organized politics, too. I just sort of ignore it. But we should be getting the word out that DFAF is the same authoritarian cult it ever was when they called themselves Straight, Inc. And so any core member (such as board of advisor members, big contributors, organizations and agencies with whom they swap endoresments, share resources and allign on specific issues and initiatives) are not to be trusted. Certainly these fuckers should be kept from any contact with or influence over other people's children!

If they had taken it all the way home back when Fred Collins gave them all the documentation they needed, you and so many others would never have been put through it.

Instead, they've become millionaire and false heros who are so incredibly cockey about it all as to rig two presidential elections, set about pursuing their Fabian Socialist plan for world domination. And it's all pretty much out in the open, but none dare speak it's name.

After all this time, shit, I wonder if it's not pretty hopeless sometimes. It's like the watership down; all the little rabbits are happy to live out their lives in captivity, hoping their not the next one to land up on the farmer's table. And any little rabbit who dares to notice, speak of it, think about alternate plans is drummed out as a doom sayer, trouble maker, malcontent.

I may be lunch, not sure if I can avoid it. But I damned sure don't have to pretend I like it!

All of these comforting and reasonable things were taught by the ministers in their pulpits -- by teachers in Sunday schools and by parents at home. The children were victims. They were assaulted in the cradle -- in their mother's arms. Then, the schoolmaster carried on the war against their natural sense, and all the books they read were filled with the same impossible truths. The poor children were helpless. The atmosphere they breathed was filled with lies -- lies that mingled with their blood.
--Robert G. Ingersoll, American politician and lecturer

Oh, shit! Got carried away and forgot to answer your question.

No, I don't think force of law or any other form of coercion is going to do the trick here either. I think rampant talking out in group might.

We know, very well, that there are at least hundreds of thousands of families that have been "reaculturated" through various public and private Programs. Hitting back w/ individual lawsuits and criminal investigations is like playing whack a mole. What we need to do is raise a hew and cry so that all them others who are willing to think about it and talk about the broader implications until it becomes generally accepted public knowledge. That counts out Deans Boys and... well, sadly, just about everyone I know who's willing to discuss the issue on any level.

But hope springs eternal. Like I said, I may be lunch, but I mean to bring about some unforgetable indigestion.

Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other.

Well that establishes one business tie. That's not what I'm talking about, though. I'm talking about things like their many ties w/ people who are up to their eyebrows right now in criminal investigations behind the beating death of Martin Lee Anderson. Or Betty Sembler's other hobbies, like Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Taskforce Training. Know all those police brutality and corruption cases that keep getting brief mention in the media? Tulia? Dallas drug labs? Fake drug scandal? Wrong address no-knock warrants that amount to home invasion and murder? Those things. That's what MJCDT trains them to do.

How about their years long, very lucrative piss testing, DARE and Bill Oliver's Peer Counceling funding scams through the schools? Also DFAF/Betty/Calvina. In 2002, they also coluded w/ the Ohio State Governor and his staff to misuse public funding for a political campaign. What kind of scam are they pulling on Ohioans' and other's electorate this year?

Here's a fun game. Whenever something used to creep me out and make me wonder if the Program really was taking over the world, I always took my good friends' advice and wrote it off to leftover paranoia and just pretended, as best I could, to relax and have fun like everyone around me. That was never very satisfying. These days, when I smell that smell, I'll look into the people, affiliations and cross reference them w/ known Program affiliates. Sometimes it turns out. Like, for instance, Martin Lee Anderson. I saw the words Florida and county JJD and the zippety-fuckin-do-dah attitudes of those guards and thought to x-ref Drug Free America Foundation.

Bingo!

Try it! It's fun! Got a local politician spwering program dogma? Go ahead and see if Mel, Brent and Debbie come up on his list of contributors. See where his name turns up on which kind of boards or directors and advisors. See if he's ever made any statement you can find regarding the DFAF inits.

The only reason I care to discuss publicly what happened to me and my family 20 years ago is because I know that a leopard doesn't change his spots. Look into what these sadistic lunatics are doing right now.

The plans of true believers for our lives may well be better than our own when judged against some abstract official standard, but to deny people their personal struggles is to render existence absurd.

Yes! And isn't it just as ironic that the Bay County Sheriff's Dept picked a spokeswoman named "Sasser"?

That's a decent basis for reflection, but nowhere near enough info to get to the bottom of things.

The documents -- use-of-force reports written by the guards themselves -- show that the overwhelming majority of the youths were subjected to ''takedowns,'' hammer-fist blows and ''knee strikes'' for:

? Being unwilling or unable to perform rigorous exercises.

? Exercising without sufficient ``motivation.''

? Being ''insolent'' with guards.

? Speaking without permission.

? ``Breathing heavily.''

? ''Tensing'' themselves.

Boys were physically ''restrained'' for furrowing their brows, mumbling or gritting their teeth. On Christmas Day 2004, one boy was disciplined for smiling...

For the past 6 years or so, I've been beating the drum for program vets to look into what the DFAF and their political and business associates are doing right now in your own schools, communities, public and private institutions, etc..

Almost nobody has agreed with me that this area of inquery is really worth pursuing. So, the whole while, Betty's buddies, like Guy Tunnell, Frank McKiethen et. al have been working the Program (w/ a few tweaks and window dressing changes) on the inmates whom, through their very own Zero Tolerance, piss testing and other projects, they have caused to be confined in the Juvenile Justice system.

I wonder how many other kids have died or been mentally, emotionally and statutorily fucked for life in the mean time since I took everybody's word for it that I was just being paranoid?

Please join me in pursuing this vigorously! This is a national story, may go international as a Canadian paper has printed at least one article on it.

We know a little something about how these people think and what motivates them that the general public, most of the legislature and most of the people whithin the regulatory bodies and the victims and their families could really use right now. They seem to think that this is all a fluke, just a couple of bad assholes who we should prosecute. They don't seem to grasp that this is just exactly what that sick fuck, Brother Jeb, meant when he promised "$100 million in state funding for juvenile rehabilitation."

Jeb and his associates are so completely brainwashed that there's no influencing them. You might just as well sit down and try and have an intelligent, reasoned conversation about it with Betty or the Rev., Dr., Dr., Virgil "Fr. Cassian" Miller Newton about their philosophy on raising kids as to try and get the people currently in charge to understand that what they're doing is patently evil.

Don't believe me? Just look at this
http://myfloridalegal.com/

Charlie Christ (pronounced "krist" w/ a short vowel, cause they don't want to be too, too obvious) is almost certainly a former Seedling. How else could his father have wound up on the BOA of The Seed in Ft. Lauderdale during the time when Charlie would have been highschool age? As far as I know, only program parents were on that board. And if he be a former Seedling and he be in good standing w/ the creepy cult people, then you can safely bet that he's a proud Seedling, a Super Seedling, a firm believer in Art's fondly held dystopian nightmare about creating a generation of Homo Superior Seedling (yes, he used to say that right in front of God and everyone; parents, Seedlings... even journalists!)

Much, much more here:
http://fornits.com/wwf/viewforum.php?forum=51&207

Time is of the essance. The media and their readership suffer from short attention span syndrome. Please look this stuff over and consider writing to the journalists who are trying cover this story and fill them in on the rest of it.

Society in every state is a blessing, but Government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in its worst state, an intolerable one.

National D.A.R.E. Day, 2006

For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
April 7, 2006

National D.A.R.E. Day, 2006
A Proclamation by the President of the United States of America

On National D.A.R.E. Day, we honor the dedicated police officers and all those involved in the Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program and underscore our commitment to helping young people say no to drugs and violence. By promoting positive youth development, D.A.R.E. programs across our country are helping our children make the right choices and build lives of purpose.

Since 1983, D.A.R.E. has taught young people how to recognize and resist the pressure to be involved in drugs, gangs, and violent activities. The D.A.R.E. program brings police officers into the classroom to answer tough questions about drugs and crime, teaches students how to avoid temptation, and encourages communication between young people and law enforcement. This program strengthens our communities and provides our children with a strong foundation for success.

My Administration remains committed to helping our young people overcome the dangers of violence and the use of illegal substances. The Helping America's Youth initiative, led by First Lady Laura Bush, encourages local partnerships that empower families, schools, and communities to help young people reach their full potential. We are also strengthening youth drug prevention efforts on the State and local levels with the Strategic Prevention Framework and the Drug Free Communities program. These initiatives tailor prevention strategies to local needs and give community organizations the power to identify challenges and take actions to overcome them.

In 2005, the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign and the Partnership for a Drug-Free America launched Above the Influence, an advertising and online campaign to encourage teens to reject drug use and other negative pressures. My Administration has also hosted a series of summits to educate community leaders and school officials on successful student drug testing.

The struggle against alcohol abuse, drugs, and violence is a national, state, and local effort. Parents, teachers, volunteers, D.A.R.E. officers, and all those who help our young people grow into responsible, successful adults are strengthening our country and contributing to a future of hope for everyone.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, by virtue of the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the United States, do hereby proclaim April 11, 2006, as National D.A.R.E. Day. I call upon young people and all Americans to fight drug use and violence in our communities. I also urge our citizens to support the law enforcement officials, volunteers, teachers, health care professionals, and all those who work to help our children avoid drug use and violence.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this seventh day of April, in the year of our Lord two thousand six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and thirtieth.

GEORGE W. BUSH

Founding Members

Betty S. Sembler

Betty S. Sembler has dedicated the past three decades to fighting the war on drugs. In 1976, she was one of ten founding members of Straight, Inc., a nonprofit drug treatment program that successfully treated more than 12,000 young people with drug addiction in eight cities nationally from Dallas to Boston.

Mrs. Sembler then turned her sights to establishing a national drug policy to reinforce the four critical fronts to combat drug abuse: education, treatment, interdiction and law enforcement. She has helped form public policy in the United States' campaign against drugs through her participation in the White House Conference for a Drug Free America, as a member of the Governor's Drug Policy Task Force in Florida, and as a board member of DARE Florida (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), a national organization that provides drug resistance education for elementary and middle school students. Mrs. Sembler also serves on the board of DARE International as vice-chairperson.

Mrs. Sembler has continued her campaign against liberal drug policies and legalization of mind-altering substances on an international basis. She accompanied her husband, Mel, on both of his missions to Australia and Italy as United States Ambassador and presently resides in Saint Petersburg, Florida.

Mrs. Sembler is the founder and president of Save Our Society From Drugs (S.O.S.) and the Drug Free America Foundation, Inc. Both organizations work to educate people about attempts to legalize as "medicine" unsafe, ineffective and unapproved drugs such as marijuana, heroin, PCP and crack as well as to reduce illegal drug use, drug addiction and drug-related illnesses and death.

Mrs. Sembler serves on the boards of the Republican Jewish Coalition, Operation PAR (Pinellas County, FL), Florida Holocaust Museum, Florida Governor's Mansion Foundation, Florida National Guard Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Training Advisory Board, the Jewish Policy Center and St. Petersburg's Menorah Manor.

The Honorable Mel Sembler

Mel Sembler, Chairman of the Board of The Sembler Company, served as United States Ambassador to Italy from 2001 to 2005 and as Ambassador to Australia and Nauru from 1989 to 1993.

As the President's personal representative, he actively promoted United States' interests abroad during his two terms of service.  At the recommendation of the Governor-General of Australia and with the approval of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, Sembler was named an Honorary Officer in the Order of Australia at an investiture ceremony in October 2000. The Order of Australia is an Australian society of honor for the purpose of according recognition to Australian citizens and is rarely given to foreigners.

As a developer, Sembler is responsible for building The Sembler Company into one of the nation's most recognized shopping center developers.  The Sembler Company is identified as an innovative leader in the industry and Sembler-built centers are know for the creative design and environmental integrity.

In 1986-1987, Sembler served as the international leader and spokesman for the shopping center industry as President of the 40,000-member International Council of Shopping Centers, a position that capped 25 years of active service to this worldwide trade association.

Sembler's work as a civic and political activist is equally noteworthy.  A supporter of George H.W. Bush since 1979, Sembler played a leadership role in raising funds for the Bush for President campaign.  He was Finance Co-Chairman of The American Bicentennial Presidential Inaugural, raising the dollars needed for the nation's 41st inauguration of the President of the United States.

Although best known as a leading shopping center developer, Sembler is also renowned for his activism in the anti-drug movement. In 1976, Sembler and his wife Betty co-founded STRAIGHT, an adolescent drug treatment program. During its 17 years of existence, STRAIGHT successfully graduated more than 12,000 young people nationwide from its remarkable program.  He is nationally recognized as an activist in the anti-drug campaign and as a staunch, long-time supporter of the Republican Party and its candidates.

Sembler served as Finance Chairman for the Republican National Committee from 1997 to 2000.  He also served as Florida's National Committeeman to the Republican National Committee after his election in 1994 until 2000.  Sembler is on the Board of Directors of the Republican Jewish Coalition and has served on the boards of the Drug Free America Foundation, the International Council of Shopping Centers, the Florida Governor's Mansion Foundation, and the Florida Holocaust Museum, and is a member of the Florida Council of 100, a business advisory group to the Governor of Florida.  He also serves on the boards of the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation and the American Australian Education Leadership Foundation.

Born in 1930 in St. Joseph, Missouri, Sembler is a 1952 graduate of Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree. He and his wife Betty have three sons, Steve, Brent, and Greg, and are the proud grandparents of eleven grandchildren

Don't laugh when you leave this courtroom, thinking you have beat the system because you have looked these things up yourself. We are going to get you down the road.

Bobby DuPont also granted the Seed a million dollars when he was head of NIDA. Some kids land up in boot camps like Bay County or programs like Growing Together or Eckerd Camp or Summit quest behind a dirty urin.

Piss testing is not helpful to anyone except the juvenile justice and troubled parent industry. If you need a lab test to tell if someone has a drug problem, you're cheating! All it does is mandate spending, public and private, on treatment that people don't need or want for problems they probably don't have. And who gets to define what is and is not treatment and what is and is not a problem in need whereof? Why, the same people who promote these mandates for their "services".

Quote
Drug Testing and Deception
Slate has a story this week about the failure of school drug testing. It reports that the largest studies of the issue do not support randomly testing students or testing those in extracurricular activities as a way of reducing drug use. The article highlights the involvement of former drug czar Robert DuPont -- a long-time drug warrior -- in flawed research frequently cited by the current drug czar to refute the other data.

In DuPont's study, the first criteria for inclusion of a school in the research was the "student drug testing program's apparent success." In other words, the study only included programs which seemed to be doing well, not those which didn't -- a research 101 error.

DuPont told Slate that a company in which he is a partner "doesn't have anything to do with drug testing" -- but its website lists "testing" as one of the services it provides.

This duplicity should not be surprising. DuPont has a long history of trying to fit the facts to his preconceptions. If it weren't so serious, his 1983 testimony in a civil trial against Straight Inc., a notoriously abusive teen rehab, would be laughable. The suit was brought by a college student named Fred Collins, who had been held in the program against his will.

DuPont, who became a paid consultant to Straight immediately after he left the drug czar's office in the early '80s, said it was "the best program of its kind in the country." Participants, however, called it torturous: ultimately, regulators and lawsuits documented human rights abuses such as beatings, lengthy periods of isolation, sexual humiliation and denial of bathroom access until kids wet and soiled themselves. These accounts go back to the 1970s, before DuPont became involved with the program, so it is unlikely that he was unaware of them.

Collins had attempted to visit his brother at the Straight program in 1982. Before being allowed to see his brother, he was required to be "screened" for any drug problems of his own, to avoid allowing a visit by anyone who might be a bad influence.

The "screening" consisted of a lengthy interrogation in a tiny room, conducted by other teens enrolled in Straight. They shouted at Collins, attacked him and accused him of addiction -- and when he admitted that he had smoked marijuana, they took this as evidence that he needed treatment.

The program refused to set him free when he repeatedly asked to leave, even though he was a legal adult. His parents paid for his incarceration: they were convinced that the program had properly diagnosed him -- despite the fact that Fred had been doing well at Virginia Tech and they had not previously considered him in need of any kind of treatment.

When Collins finally managed to escape after 10 months of forced confrontational group therapy aimed at breaking his "denial," he sued.

During the trial, DuPont testified that Collins had "voluntarily" entered the program and was a "pathological user." But Fred's drug use didn't meet the standard diagnostic criteria for addiction (called drug dependence) as defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of the American Psychiatric Association, as DuPont was forced to admit on cross-examination.

Collins won $220,000 to compensate for the illegal detention and abuse he'd suffered in the program. $180,000 of that verdict was for punitive damages, aimed at getting Straight to recognize that it was not above the law.

But Straight didn't learn the lesson and wound up paying hundreds of thousands more in later lawsuits before it finally shut down in 1993. DuPont has apparently never repudiated the group -- and he continues pushing student drug testing which often feeds kids into its descendents, some of which still use the same abusive tactics.

If you would have justice in this world, then begin to see that a human being is not a means to some end.  People are not commodities.  When human beings are just to one another government becomes obsolete and real freedom is born; SPIRITUAL ANARCHY.
