You're right. Jared Copeland who it seems is the new assistant director of Sky View was my Family Rep at Spring Creek Lodge. How a family rep qualifies to manage a school we'll never know. Orval Hagerman who is the new director of this school was also a staff member but all he did was help his son run the technology department sometimes at Spring Creek. At least that's all I ever saw him doing. I don't understand how these two simply up and start a school being such nobody's in the education field.  This one really has me thinking. - kev http://www.antiwwasp.com

This shit is from their website, fucking hilarious:

"The Cactus Story
All too often in many of our public and private schools, some staff fail to make connections with their students. These students may feel ignored or that no one cares about them. A lesson might be taken from the high desert cactus that grows near SVA. It seems dormant and lives mostly unnoticed; even shunned because it isn't always pleasant to deal with. Unless the innate possibilities of this nondescript desert plant are realized through the right amount of sunlight and moisture, its potential is never realized. However, when the cactus receives what it needs, not only does it begin growing to its potential, it blooms into one of the most unique and spectacular flowers in nature.

Our hand picked staff provides our students the nurturing necessary to help them find and develop God's purpose for their lives. They do this through patience, structure, discipline, healthy activities, discussions, Bible study groups, Christian values, and positive peer interaction. Our staff's dedication to develop a personal connection with each student as a guide and a mentor helps our students to realize their potential. Each student is considered unique and valuable and each student is given the opportunity to bloom like the desert cactus."

Reminds me of the cake bullshit...your kid is like a cake, might look ready but don't pull it out too early or it will fall.....like a cake takes 2-3 years to bake.  Only a hick could come up w/this shit.  I smell a WWASP.

Haha, you are so right. Smells like WWASPS to me too. That cactus shit made me laugh out loud.

I've been playing around on the site too and most of the links don't even work. The cactus story is a piece of art. Get real! Yap, smells like WWASPies to me.

If these guys worked for WWASP in the past then what could make us believe they won't treat the kids the same way they were treated in other WWASP facilities? Uh, nothing!

Here's who the website is registered to, in Montana. I was surprised it wasn't Utah, though it makes plenty of sense since now Utah passed the bill for regulating these places and Montana has none. Not yet, anyway. At the moment they are pretty much self-regulating with a board put together by the governor's office consisiting 3 program people and 2 from the general public. Makes you wonder how they can even being to think that's fair. Obviously they don't care.

Hopefully the bill to regulate the facilities will be up again in a couple of years. Regulation is not everything but at least it gives a foot in the door to dig for information if there are complaints, etc.

Here's the info (hmmm ... wonder who "Scott" is, Orval's brother?):
