yea three def. has a spacious DR. sucked when you had a GI dining room tho, that shit took forever cuz kids would fuck it up no sooner than you had it clean. one of those "do it fuckin 25 times and the chief finally feels bad for you and accepts the LE, LE's."

The worst of all GMs was when all the houses were opened 4,6,2a and we would be brought to Poland in bus s . Those really put the fear of God in us. Those GMs went on for days. At least 10 kids from each house went in the ring. This one dude was put in the ring and ragged on because he only had one Ball. As funny as it maybe it was really fucked up for him. I would love to be a fly on the wall to see what the place is like now.

Do they still make the kids stay for years or is 11 months 11 months. I was only susposed to stay for a year. I was there almost 4 years. Every second was HELL. No pizzas, no candy packs. If I had a choice I would have gone to jail

average stay of a graduate: 2-2 1/2 years. average stay of a signout: 3+ years. laws have changed, making elan what it is today. While difficult, no where near what you other guys went thru in the 80-90's. mostly people with drug problems would be there, now its all 13 year old kids with ADD. seriously, i think i saw the last "glimmer" of what elan used to stand for, and then sharon went a little crazy   and decided to let these little fuckers in. Who, at 13 years old, could possibly be mature enough and capable to absorb and comprehend the  "lifeskills" we learn at elan? fucking absolutly ridiculous. And at 13, shit, thats 5 years, at $46,000 a year, so a 230,000 grand fucking stay, and no one that spends their teens in a place like that stands a chance of transitioning back into  the world and being successful. And this shit is really going on right now.

I agree with above poster, it is a pussy place nowadays... not something kids should have to go through, but the elan concept is altered.

We had a 12 year old girl in the same house as a 21 year old junkie - now *thats* therapeutic!!!
