So, what effect do you think being locked up in a WWASP program or other program had on your sexual maturity?

There is something seriously disturbing about being restricted from even seeing the opposite sex for years at a time, this must have a long term effect on some kids. There was a few 12 year olds locked up, and you could tell they'd be there for years, how would that effect them?

Masturbation was a serious offense, as weird as that sounds. Having to live in a cabin full of teenage boys of all ages can make for some squeeky beds at night!

any thoughts?

This is a case where the program's religious values strongly influenced the rules.

Masturbation was forbidden, period.  Sexual contact, gay or straight, was also forbidden.  Everyone who wasn't a virgin was labeled a slut.

Us girls would like to cuddle together when we could get away with it, not to be lesbians, but just to feel some human contact a couple times over our 2-3 year stays.

I don't know if it was the same with the boys, but a lot of the girls turned bisexual while in the program.  It's much more socially acceptable for girls to do this than boys.

I know of three boys who are now faggots..Its a shame

Eh, if you go by the numbers abused people actually end up a little more open about it and healthier sexually in the end, though they still have to carry their emotional baggage throughout life...

... and Im not about to fall in line with the programmies and say that controlled abuse is good if it toughens someone or forces them to grow up, either.

I can sit here and try to imagine how desperate Id be for some contact and affection and genuine love, not programmie puppet-love when I put on an act and speak the dogma in a seminar (ah, lovebombs  ) or for ANY release, but I probably have no REAL idea because Ive never had to go through that.

Also, having night staff prevent masturbation is just fucking barbaric and cruel, if not sexual abuse in and of itself. Too bad its just another charge on the laundry list of abuses you cant prove
I believe that relgion is the belief in future life and in God. I don't believe in either. I don't believe in God as I don't believe in Mother Goose.
