There are both good and bad things, however i tend to focus on the good. the positive definently outnumbered the negitive, and that is the point i stand stong to.

aften dear,
by all means, stand strong by your opinions of YOUR experience. you'd get a lot less flack from others if you'd stick to "I" statements. speak directly of your experience and perception.
Ex: that never happened to me; i didn't witness that; that happened but i didn't think it was that bad.   get the idea?

when you make blanket statements, others feel you are minimizing their apparently less-than-positive experience. and that, you have no right to do. it's rude and offensive.

Tony is right on the money. You may have had a positive experience, but that in no way negates the things that happened to other people. Recall you claimed you had some lesbians looking out for you, that may have changed your situation. So while you might be able to say the positive definitly outnumbered the negative, that is not the case for everyone.

Nor does it entitle you to make assumptions and generalizations about hundreds of other kids whom youve never met and know nothing about.

Your opinions and your experiences are yours to comment on.

Dont try and insist things about other people based on your experiences, you dont know what happened to them there and you dont know why.

Get over yourself.

You're telling me to get over myself, and not to make generalizations, however that is exactly what you re doing... seems rather hypocritical, eh?
