Actually I'm the parent of a kid who was there at around the same time. It's true. They didn't like that he was going online and finding stuff about Hidden Lake, so they sent him to Ridge Creek. I'm not sure what they expected to accomplish by sending him there, but that's just what they did.

And what is your understanding of what constitutes 'out of agreement' and 'really out of agreement'?
Examples.

out of agreement = sex (kissing on the bus on the way back from an event), drugs (refusing your meds or cheeking them) or violence (defending yourself after all else fails and they attack you)
really out of agreement = sex (having sex in the outside bathroom by lower left), drugs (bringing or distributing drugs on campus), violence (kicking someones ass unprovoked and not in self defense)
get it?

Doesn't it stand to reason that being at Ridge Creek served to curtail his internet access and provided a holding place until he was expelled?
Anonymous:
It sounds like he got expelled for hitting another student at Ridge Creek. If Hidden Lake had wanted him expelled just because he looked things up on the internet they didnt like, they wouldnt have bothered to send him to Ridge Creek. They would have just expelled him from Hidden Lake. His story about being expelled for looking at websites on the internet that they didnt like doesnt really hold water. The hitting the student thing, that sounds more plausible.

" I find it hard to believe that the only reason you were sent to Ridge Creek was because you knew some sort of information they didnt want you to know. Doesnt sound logical. Seems to make more sense that you didnt want to play by the rules and that is why you got sent to Ridge Creek. As far as getting expelled from Ridge Creek, that part sounds like your own doing, not theirs. You took your frustration out on another student. Doesnt seem fair to the other student does it. Maybe your expulsion was more your own fault and had nothing to do with what they did or didnt want you to "know". I doubt you were any sort of "threat" to them. By the way, how long were you actually at Hidden Lake and how long at Ridge Creek?"
Actualy I had the exact same thing happen to me. Although I was there prior to Ridge Creek they had a different program at the time. One in which they would take the offending student up into the mountains with a tarp, bottle and water purification tablets and some granola and leave us out there till we mended our errant ways. I hadnt broken any rules per se or "agreements" as they liked to call them (I always found that ironic, they were called agreements, yet none of us ever really agreed to anything) I did however discuss with great fervor how I had been placed there illegally, and the blatent hypocricy found in the school and its staff, along with numerous other crimes commited there. Eventually they got tired of trying to shut me up so they simply sent me away for several weeks ( a testament to their award winning education system) after several weeks they had to bring me back, at which point I made a deal with the devil. I would behave so long as they stopped trying to pretend I needed to be there. It didnt last I returned to my evil ways, but in the end I was vindicated.
