Anybody think there is any possibility of such a thing? "

Uh, think that 1 degree increase is what has meterologists concerned. All the reports I've read indicated the increased tempature is what has caused the increase in violent storms. Not only in the Atlantic region either. The Pacific Typhoons are larger and more numerous than ever witnessed before. Seems too that Greenland is losing its ice fields at a faster rate. Do some research, might open your eyes. Unless of course you are one of those that "trusts" our government - they wouldn't lie.

1 degree whoopdedoo, huh? 1 degree in the Gulf of Mexico is a big deal for hurricanes, for a start. They are incredibly water temperature dependent.
Funny thing is, I agree with a good bit of your post, however-
Cloud seeding affects weather. No, they don't seed using atomic or thermonuclear weapons. For a start, CA used to seed the crap out of clouds during droughts, with rainfall (when it came) way out of proportion to the barometric change, humidity, etc. Yeah, it's unprovable, in an absolutist sense. I know, California is blue state, populated by ninnies nowhere near as astute as you.You can sit on your hands until the earth is screwed, then you and your buddies will be screaming it was all someone else's fault.
Global warming can easily lead to an ice age. When there are relatively small temperature sweeps, it changes the way global currents move, and water evap., currents and the rotation of the earth are what move the weather patterns around. Weather is intitially created over oceans. If you want to say God creates weather, fine. That is the mechanism He uses. He's got a big tool chest.
We could have a rise in temperature, followed by a relatively rapid drop. No, not like in the movie. Not in your lifetime, so, hey why should you give a damn? Hate to be political, but if conservatives love kids so much, why do they want to trash the planet the kids will inherit...oh, I forgot, giving a damn about the earth hurts PROFITS! AS BushCo has said, environmental concerns put onerous burdens on business. I used to loath the EPA, but I also remember what the air was like in much of the US in the 1960s. No, not LA- Denver, NYC, Chicago, much of the Northeast in general, NJ in particular, Delaware. Salt Lake City, forcrissake! There is no comparison today, the air is immensely better. The inversion prone cities, Dnever, SLC, LA, for instance, are way cleaner. The freeway signs warning of dangerous air in Denver are gone. Hey, let's not forget Gary, Indiana, Pittsburgh, or the Cayahoga river in Ohio, which caught on fire. Our modern engines in our cars make WAY more power than the old dirty ones did. And it is honest HP now, if you are a car guy. The cars are faster. Detroit fought the Feds hard over that, and really only got with it, when the Europeans started making very powerful cars in the mid 80s.
Grow up, and turn off Fox News. I know they think Global warming is hysterical. I make a point of reading both sides of an argument. BTW, if the water rises a few INCHES, a vast amount of Florida will disappear.
As for Japanese sending us hurricanes, that is absurd.

Sorry, it's the Cuyahoga river that caught fire, also sorry for any other typos
