Hmmm. How about the SRO officer? She's there three days a week. How about the 60-day calls EVERY student gets, regardless of status? How about the certified nutritional program? How about the three medical doctors and all the nurses? How about the grievance process? And a still more relevant question: What level did you make?

Now that's just bullshit. Only prisoners in level 3 - 6 can make (or receive) phone calls. The grievance process is non-existant-- it is included in the parents manual to make the parents feel good. There are no medical doctors in WWASPS facilities, and the "nurses" and usually not qualified. That includes Spring Creek.

Damn dude, I could have wrote that myself. We had very similar experiences. I also was at SCL for about 10 months before I turned 18 and left. Fucking sucked! Anyways, if you ever want to talk to more survivors hit up myspace groups and search for WWASP. a bunch of SCL and WWASP survivor groups are popping up nowadays. I know it helps to talk to people.. making sense of the unexplainable and shit can be difficult. Have a great life man, you deserve it after being in that hell hole!

Sixty day calls implemented over a year ago, regardless of level. Why does scl employ a full-time person to do nothing but quality control, including grievances? And the doctors are on the scl website. You can confirm that with the secretary of state's office, too. Ditto the nurses. So whoever posted this has obviously never been there.

ADDENDUM #9
COMMUNICATION WITH STUDENTS
The following is an outline of recommended Parent/Student communication and visit schedule.
It is imperative that the student has frequent communication with their parent(s), and that the parents have appropriate access to visit their child. It is also important that the student is committed to work and earn advanced communication
and visitation privileges. Years of experience and thousands of successful graduates have shown that following this recommended schedule will greatly enhance the school experience for your child and increase their opportunity for successful graduation.
Entry and Achievement Status (former Levels 1&2)- unlimited and uncensored letter writing, parents receive
weekly or bi-weekly (parent choice) progress reports by telephone from Family Representative. Students may
send messages to parents through Family Rep. Letter writing and progress reports continue throughout the students stay.
Parent Child Seminar I- Student needs to be a graduate of the Focus Seminar (this is their second seminar: seminars come every 6 weeks). Parents required to be a Discovery Seminar graduate (this is the parents first
seminar and may attend as soon as they admit their child). Parents spend two days with their child attending the
Parent Child 1 Seminar on campus. If the student has been in the program for over 6 months they will be invited to this Parent Child 1 Seminar regardless of status.
Advanced Status (former Level 3)-Students have one 15 minute phone call with parents monthly. Students can earn this status as early as 3 months from admission.
Service Status (former Level 4) -Students have two 20 minute phone calls with parents monthly. They also have one 3-day visit a month in local area (not overnight).
Honor Status (former Level 5)-Students have three 20 minute phone calls with parents monthly. They also have one 3-day overnight visit a month in local area (not at home).
Parent Child Seminar II- Students are required to be Honor Status and parents to be Discovery Seminar graduates. They spend 3 days together at location other than CSA campus and work on rules for home contract in a seminar setting. Students stay only with parents during this weekend.
Home Visits- after student has attended Parent Child Seminar II they are eligible for home visits. They receive a 5-7 day home visit monthly.
High Honors Status (former Level 6)-Students have weekly 20 minute phone calls with parents. They also continue to have their home visits on this level.
***Regardless of status or program recommendations, parents may at any time schedule a phone call or on campus visit with their child. At no time will Carolina Springs Academy prevent, hinder of discourage parent and child contact. We believe in our program
and program model, however, we firmly maintain that the parent is an essential element to the program?s success and welcome your
support and input. It is essential that the parent is comfortable with the child?s placement at Carolina Springs Academy and we will
arrange additional private meetings for the parent with the child as the parent deems necessary.

Nothing about a phone call every 60 days for every prisoner, regardless of level. And I find SCL's facade entertaining, but not all that convincing. WWASPS' medical "care" was and still is at its worst, because WWASPS doesn't really give a damn about anything except for indoctrinating its prisoners into believing they've been "saved".
