Her take on the tough love approach- 'break you down' & ' build you back up' is that its something that worked for her, though I think she has said, as I think all alumni have (depsite where they fall in the MMS was abusive/MMS not abusive camp) that there were somethings that she would change.  Presumably the excessive labor/excersize, general physiological stress.  I acutally have no way of knowing what truly was the problem for people who found MMS helpful b/c it seems no one really wants to answer taht questions.  

That brings me to an intersting consideration-  I don't understand, but owuld like to understand, why alumni can't mention things they are actually critical of and only do so in extremely vague terms and in passing like "there were something that were bad, should change, etc but most were good and the good points were these xyz."

If I were you I would not take the weight of this on your shoulders. You are not to blame for what happened at MMS, you are not to blame for this forum. It was going to happen with or without you, you're not the one who started the whole thing. So don't take this on yourself.

You don't have any way of knowing what the program is like now because you are not there. If you went to the reunion and feel it's better because of what you saw then, think again. They were probably putting on a front, just like you girls did when you were there and visitors showed up. Don't kid yourself as most likely things are no better now than they were back then.

I really do not understand how or why you would defend a program now that was so hurtful to you and so many others. It sounds like you are falling into someone's trap, don't allow that to happen. If it's gotten better we'll know about it when some of the girls who are there now come out. It's only a matter of time until some do and they too will find this forum and they too will begin posting. Time will only tell, won't it?

So Kerry, I would not allow this to bother me if I were you. You are in no way to blame for any of this, the girls posting have a right to say what they feel and like I said, they would have done it whether you had said anything or not. People complained a long time ago, it just wasn't as easy to find as Fornits.

Ease up on yourself and don't allow anyone else to make you believe something that might not be true. I certainly wouldn't go around praising the place, if it were me, until I heard from girls who had been there and who were out, not who are still there, what their experience is like. I'm sure if you ask any girl who is in a program if they like it they're going to say yes. They know the consequences.
