Copper Canyon is owned by Tammy Prince (maiden name) who worked at Cross Creek as a staff member and then did Cross Creek Manor (WWASP facility) admissions for years. She's originally from Southern California. It seems she has created a much more respectable facility. She was always kind, honest, and fair. Still, her education resembles that of Bob Litchfield's........Here's the biography from her website (note the reference to Cross Creek without specific naming of the facility):
Tammy Behrmann, - Executive Director
Tammy Prince Behrmann, Founder/Executive Director: Tammy Founded Copper Canyon Academy in January of 1998. Tammy received her undergraduate education in Business Marketing at Dixie College, Brigham Young University and Southern Utah University. She began working in Residential Therapeutic Programs in September of 1989. Tammy began her professional career at an all girls Residential Treatment Center in Southern Utah. She worked as a Student Supervisor, Senior Staff Supervisor, Student and Parent Seminar Coordinator, Office Manager, and Admissions Director. She then assisted in founding an all girls Therapeutic Boarding School in Central Arizona. In the Fall of 1997 Tammy gathered a team of gifted professionals together and along with her family realized her dream of creating Copper Canyon Academy. Tammy's vision of providing an environment where students can turn their lives around and families can become reunited was her driving force in starting CCA. The only thing to bring Tammy more satisfaction and pride than CCA is being the mother of two beautiful and loving daughters.

--- Quote ---Hello,
You are probably a concerned parent and don' know where to turn, but i am a former student who experienced Copper Canyon Academy, and I'm going to tell you flat out that it is a lie. This is not a "bash site." I;m warning you so you can protect your child from the certain trauma that myself and many other girls have experienced from attending this "therapeutic school." Look through this site i have posted stories of things that have happened to me here. Staff that mistreated me and other girls. The "Grievance System" that does not work. I have personally witnessed physical abuse. Please do not under any circumstances send your child to Copper Canyon Academy.
