What let me get this straight- these 'workers' need only a high school freaken diploma???  experience and some college preferred???  These people are in working at a school that charges  A TON of money- what's the matter?  Won't someone with a solid education work for them?

did you  know were gifted?  LOL- that's a good selling point, though.  All parent want to think kids are gifted- or at least among the gifted.  Slevectivity- nice.  Stroke the parental ego.  I can't think of anyone, execpt maybe 2 girls were gifted at MMS.  the rest were definitely average and about 25% below avg. I would think... funny funny stuff.

i wanna see what sucker is going to work for 45 k  and again with the 12 steps, b/c it's we're all addicts right?  That's so easy- too easy.  self-actualizing?? who that attended MMS truly reached the stage of self-actualization??  On account of them?? From what I've read, the sucess cases are even more f-d up that the non-success stories (the girls that are- according to MMS staff member Zoe- disgruntled)

Description  
Mission Mountain School is a small, private fully accredited therapeutic boarding school for gifted girls grades 9-12. We offer an integrated curriculum of daily life skills, outdoor education, emotional growth and academics. We work successfully with gifted girls that require special attention or who don't do well in larger programs. We dedicate our energy and resources to producing physically healthy, socially mature, morally aware, environmentally conscious, self-actualized young people. Our goal is reintegration of the child into the family and community. We are located on a 240 acre ranch in the beautiful Swan Valley in Condon, Montana, and have been in operation for 15 years. We currently enroll 38-42 students. MMS is a drug free, nicotine free campus.

This position is full-time, 40 hrs, with one overnight duty per shift.

Responsibilities: Essential duties include;1) report to the clinical director and school head on student status including student progress and treatment recommendations; 2) support the supervisors, treatment team and school head in the daily implementation of the program, manage a case load of a minimum of 10-16 students, and provide individual, group and family counseling; 3) develop and implement individual treatment plans and provide assessment and diagnostics to include administration and scoring of various psychological tests; 4) collaborate with other mental health professionals who are providing student services; 5) provide overnight coverage as the primary/supervising staff and maintain on-call status at designated times; 6) provide necessary interventions with students in times of crisis and identify and monitor students who possess a potential threat of self harm or danger to others; 7) maintain regular contact with parents regarding student progress and treatment recommendations; :cool: complete written monthly and quarterly student progress reports and meet with students to discuss these reports; 9) participate in outdoor experiences and expeditions with students when appropriate; 10) fully support Mission Mountain School mission and philosophy and principles in application. Available Summer 2005.
 
Qualifications
MA/MS and licensure in social work, CD counseling and/or addiction counseling. The successful applicant will also meet the
following criteria; extensive experience with chemical dependency treatment and 12-step recovery; group, family and individual therapy training and experience; experience in adolescent residential treatment; expertise in female adolescent therapy. Outdoor skills and experience desirable.

Dang- they pay staff cheaply, huh?  that's not even half of one students tuition/ year?  wonder how much overhead is?  can't be that much since kids do so much of the maintanace!  And what, no masters degree required???  Course not, I suppose, they won't work for so little...
