Is this the boy she beat? How many of the seven charges involve this boy? Cheryl, can you explain? Did Cheryl Sudweeks, of Whitmore Boarding School, represented by attorney James Merrell, beat and abuse a fifteen year old sudent?

How can does Whitmore Academy qualify as a academic Boarding school? As stated in this excript from this artical
http://sltrib.com/utah/ci_2695093 or it can be found here http://fornits.com/wwf/viewtopic.php?to ... orum=35&67

"Matt Sudweeks, who owns Whitmore with his wife, Cheryl, says he has gotten out of the teen-help business. "

You mean to say you have no more groups and kids are no longer taken to withmore by escorts and kept there agaist their will?????

Why is Dr. Bernie still on the payroll and giving theropy sessions if he is a "councelor" at a "academic boarding school"?????

If you read the rest of the atrical it says whitmore should be licesened as a residential treatment center as required by Utah State Law!!!

Why is Whitmore not licesened???

I can bet they teach you respect of the law and tell you every day to obey the law at Whitmore?

Yet why is the same people telling you to obey the law BREAKING THE LAW????

I can understand why not apply for a licesence and follow the law!!!

If they are teaching you to obey they law then they not setting a good example for the students at Whitmore....

There appears to be individual therapy by "DR" Bernie Farrow at the Whitmore, and group sessions continue at the Whitmore. And it appears that Ken Stettler continues to look into this issue of should the Whitmore be licensed or not. Mark Sudweeks says the Whitmore "is out of the teen help business." So, if there are no trouble teens at the Whitmore, and it is "academics" only--why therapy?

Question:  Of the kids who were enrolled by their parents when Whitmore was a licensed therapeutic facility, how many of those kids were still at Whitmore when it converted to an academics only boarding school?

Did any stay or had they graduated already?

The reason I ask is because obviously some parents chose this program for it's therapeutic component, in addition to providing their child with an education, activities, etc.

Were new admissions contracts drawn up?

T.I.A.

Approximately 25 "students" who  were enrolled when Whitmore was a theraputic facility,  remained after it was "converted to an academic only boarding school."
That has been the question all along:
Did these kids who were enrolled in a theraputic facility with needs that required THERAPY just miraculously NOT NEED THERAPY ANY LONGER? Of course not!  And according to statements by students, the individual and group therapy has continued.
Some of these students are STILL enrolled at the Whitmore.

The Sudweeks or Parents would have to answer the questions: 1) Were new contracts drawn up, and IF SO, when?
2) And, are the NEW ADMISSIONS CONTRACTS different from the contracts signed by former students prior to "converting to an academics only boarding school?"

we were NEVER EVER asked to sign a new agreement.  We were NEVER officially informed of the facility status change.  I for one am contemplating a civil suit for contract violation.  $42,000 is a lot of money to waste......

Understand a civil suit has already been filed. Have you contacted any of these parents that post here?

Would it be required that parents who enrolled thier children previously when the Whitmore Academy was a treatment facility sign a new contract agreeing that the Whitmore is now only an academic only boarding school?

Anyone sign a "new agreement" with the Whitmore that states it is ACADEMICS ONLY?
