Click the drop-down box for "School:".  It's second from bottom.

is this a commercial for the school to get us to look at it on a forum that isn't affiliated with this school?

Or to get clicks/traffic?

I didn't go there

No, I'm just saying where I got the info from.  It seems to be a new WWASP school.

There are a bunch of promotional YouTube clips that Horizon Academy has put out, profiling some of their "success stories." Here are a few which all feature the same title and descriptive paragraph (although they all depict different kids and/or family members). Most were uploaded on October 23, 2007, 'cept for the last one, which was uploaded January 19, 2008:

--- Quote ---Horizon Academy, Helping Troubled Teens
Horizon Academy in Amargosa Valley, Nevada, is a private specialty boarding school for students grades 7 through 12. Our students usually have a history of behavior problems including defiance, school troubles, drug or alcohol issues, and anger management difficulties. In our intensive educational system, students focus on a twin track of character development and demanding academic work. This is one of our success stories...

• Hard to tell who is reading more faithfully from the script: 2007 Horizon Academy graduate Kara, or Gwen, her mother. Same lingo, same dire end (death, jail) predicted without the helpful intervening graces of Horizon Academy.

• Alex seems a bit young for his confident statements, as well as nervous at being videotaped. This might have something to do with his being taped in the computer room, with a lot of kids in the background, all trying to look studious and busy. There are a couple of staff members milling around too.

• Jon: "Without this place... maybe jail, or dead." Graduated October, 2006. Joined staff April, 2007. Has plans to attend a university the following year, wants to go into international business, buying and selling companies.

• Michele, Matthew's mom is mostly featured in this one; also some quotes from dad Kevin. When Matthew is asked, "Where do you think you were headed?" he replies, "Uh, to jail, or death, fer sure!"
