WWASPS SUED

Are there are kids from Morava Academy or Paradise Cove in the lawsuit?  What about the child who killed herself at SCL, are her parents suing?

BuzzKill:
I don't know.

Wasn't it because of the WWASPS v. PURE lawsuit that we learned which programs pay finder's fees to Sue Scheff/PURE?

Seems to me that's a good thing since one could argue that there is a serious conflict of interest in referring parents to a program that pays a fee for referrals that result in a placement.

No different than WWASPS offering tuition credits, except that it's cold, hard cash, if ya ask me.

Be nice to know how much a placement is worth to these programs, wouldn't it?

There are kids who were in Paradise Cove when it was relatively new ... 1998-2000"

It depends on the state. For assault or child abuse, it's usually 3 - 5 years w/ conditions. Conditions might be the clock doesn't start till the kid is 18, after the person realized they were abused or others. W/ these overseas places, I would imagine it's extremely complicated. But, even if you can't take or join an action, but want to help out on principle, you might offer to send an affidavit.

Also, Ginger are you sure about that statute?  It takes some time to understand not only that these places were abuses, but to gain calrity on how they were if it's not as blatant as physical abuse or sexual abuse...
