Valparaiso, IN (September 25, 2007)—Theresa Valade, CEO of The Growth Coach in Valparaiso, is pleased to announce her position on the newly established Board of Directors of Pathway Family Center of Porter County. An Indianapolis-based non-profit organization, Pathway Family Center provides a complete continuum of care including: drug screening, substance abuse assessment and referral services but is best known for their long-term treatment program. Pathway is a family-centered facility that focuses on teaching coping strategies, life skills and strengthening both individual and family relationships.
The temporary center is located at Duneland Health & Wellness Institute in Chesterton and soon will be housed in its new permanent home in Porter County. With approximately 20 percent of the total number of teens at the Indianapolis center from Porter County, the new treatment center is expected to serve up to 30 teens at a time. “This is an incredibly beneficial program for Porter County.
