Here's how I heard it from my newcomer many years ago. She was of age and I think we had just been discussing why in the world she stayed, being that she was legally qualified to leave.

I often think of her and wonder how she made out. Can't remember if she was still there when I split or not. Frankly, at the time, I lied each and every time I said "luv ya!". I didn't think I gave a shit about anybody there. But, evidently, I did. Cause I still wonder how Sheri made out w/ her strategy of going along w/ her dad's ideas and making peace later, after the fallout.
