I take a great deal of pride in the accomplishments and recognition of the program and of the impact it has had in the field of rehabilitation. The Seed has been in existence since 1970 and many of the innovative ideas and techniques I originally devised are today emulated by many programs, not only in Florida, but throughout the Country.
For forty years I have been working with people with drug and alcohol problems, and all that knowledge says there are no short cuts to putting your life together, especially after living a lifestyle of substance abuse. We live in an age when people want all their problems instantly cured, without effort and without cost. There is no such thing as a quick cure!
The Seed provides treatment in a drug free atmosphere, and uses a group treatment approach as well as individualized counseling. The Seed is a "people program" that helps clients face their problems, provides an atmosphere where the client can discover himself and learn about trust, self-respect, and awareness. The first step begins with the client's desire to want help.
My staff are all graduates of The Seed and have been hand-picked and trained by me, chosen on the basis of leadership, dedication, empathy and love. They are well qualified and have worked for The Seed anywhere from 21 to 27 years, a testimony to the quality of the program.
Through the years our graduates have maintained contact with The Seed to share their lives and experiences. I feel a great sense of pride knowing that thousands of successful Seed graduates are responsible members of society. They have become leaders in their chosen professions, and have taken active interests in their communities.
Everyone needs to have a "meaning and purpose" to their life. At The Seed, you can peel away the layers of resentments, hangups and fear you've lived with for years. It's never too late to turn your life around and find the happiness that you've longed for!
