: Let me clear on the question I am posing here. I am not questioning the veracity or truthfullness of any of these three testimonial givers. If Mel and Betty say they were the ones who planted the seed (no pun intended) to get Nancy interested in the plight of drug casulties, and if Bob DuPont says it was he, and if Nancy's astrologer says it was she, then I am sure the conversations occurred and that each firmly believes that each was responsible for swaying the former first lady. What I was actually asking is this: 1. on a time-line, which of them actually approached Nancy first, and 2. from an impact, which of the three, if any, actually motivated her into taking a stance. Maybe there was a cumulative affect here, or maybe even a fairy or angel actually got her involved. That's what I was questioning.

: : A little birdie just sent me this follow-on article of interest Money Man . Now this is an interesting document for many reasons. But for now I'll just take on two issues. According to this article Melvin Sembler says it was he and Betty who got Nancy Reagan to "take on the drug crusade." Now that's funny because former White House Drug Czar Robert DuPont, who was a paid Straight consultant, swore under oath in Circuit Court in Fairfax, Virginia in November 1993 that it was he who had encocuraged Nancy Reagan to get involved in Straight. And if that doesn't cloud the water enough, Joan Quigley , Nancy's astrologer, says it was she who got Nancy involoved in the drug crusade Ask Joan . Could somebody ask Nancy what the real poop is here?

: : Now for issue number two. In an earlier posting I described how Andy G., a 230 pound, 15 yearold kid verbally accosted me in such a vulgar, threatening tone that I actually feared for my life, and that he accosted me because I had attended a cocktail party earlier that day. Now you're telling me that Melvin Sembler attended a cocktail party! I just don't understand.

Wes,
maybe they were all together at the same cocktail party and that's when the idea came to them so they are all telling the truth.
BTW for an orginization that has as its core "total honesty" I am in awe how difficult it is for those people to be honest with anyone.
