The story that is at that link was written by me from memory over a 4 month period starting about 4 months after leaving Synanon. More recently, children who had experienced memory loss about their experience in Synanon have been able to use this document to help jog their own memories of their experiences there.

I never knew about the follow on programs although for many of the years that I lived there, I observed governmental people, probation officer types, social workers and psych types from major universities observing the school, observing the treatment program for problem kids (where I ended up twice after being kicked out of school over simple rebellion over things that were happening), etc. so it makes perfect sense that new program would emulate synanon.
We were told that a "newcomer" was trying to pronounce anonymous and seminars or something like that. It had something to do though with misprononciation of two words so could have been other words as you suggested in your email.
