Good find Wes. Here is a paragraph from this page Wes found:
"Ambassador Sembler and his wife Betty, a member of the NJC Executive Committee, have been active in the war on drugs. In 1976 they founded a successful adolescent drug rehabilitation program call STRAIGHT. Ambassador Sembler served on President Reagan’s White House Conference for a Drug-Free America and was an advisor on drug policy to President Bush."
I have just one question for Mel. Could you clarify exactly what you mean by 'successful adolescent drug rehabilitation program'? Does this mean successful in treating adolescents' drug problems or successful by way of business standards (making lots o' money)?
Mel seems to continue to wear STRAIGHT as a medal of honor. I think it's time to let the public know what Straight was really all about. There's hardly anyway he could disassociate himself with the place now!
