Describing facilities with Neutral point of view.
« on: December 30, 2006, 04:25:12 PM »
Information, information and yet more information may throw light on what places, children do not need to be.

WWASP has a very low number of inmates today due to bad publicity. It can be better (They could close the shop), but newspaper, myspace, bebo, livespace etc. works against them so no student should end up isolated thinking that it is a bad dream, they had dreamt for years.

What WWASP don't need is publicity.

With the other major organisation in the business - Aspen Education, it is different. They use television for numerous shows as marketing aimed at both Europe and the States.

Can information brought with heavily edited show be fought with information about the reality?

Well I will use 2007 to see if it is possible. I will update wikipedia with info about facilities and programs.

I have started with few pages.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aspen_Education_Group
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turnabout_ranch

They are first drafts. They will be improved along the road.

I have to admit that they are worse than described, but it is a policy on wikipedia to maintain NPOV (or as close as it gets.).

But if criticism exist somewhere in the news, it is OK to add it. See my latest addition to this page.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academy_of_the_Sierras

I have ordered the Book by Abigail Vona and I have read half of it. So Peninsula Village is properly next in line.

However, a lot of these facilities seems to be living very secretly and with almost none complaining about them. Are they that good in the art of Brainwashing?

I need information to provide information to the users of wikipedia. I hope that you will aid me in my project.

Happy new year.

I am not quite certain on the accuracy of this analysis. WWASPS is still an expanding organization. They are going under the radar and disbanding and using the same tricks. I think WWASPS has the highest number of inmates by far, it's still the leader of the pack.

Why waste your time with an organization that does not let you post the truth? It's a common program tactic to "demand neutrality" from the press, which means they get to put up a lie and smear campaign for every legitimate critic who puts their neck out.

I think what CG is doing is commendable.  Any information to counter the propaganda machine is a good thing.  Sure, it's not the perfect platform, but it's better than a documentary that is aired a couple of times and then forgotten.  Or a news article in the NY Times that gets a lot of attention then fades away off the radar screen.  Lots of people use WIKI as a resource.  ASK ANSWERS is also a good venue.  Just get the word out best you can.  That's how you build "critical mass" not through lawsuits or sensational headlines.  It's takes time to build a giant snowball.

Anyway, kudos to you CG!  I am going to go take a look right now.

They can demand neutrallity as much as they like. Children dies out there. Dead is dead.

It must make some parents think twice, when they look for information on a facility and find a link to an article of a child killed or molested in the facility.

It do not even matter if they settle out of court. At some point, they have been in court with an article showing that there is an fire somewhere with all that smoke around.

Good luck on your project.... I would advise that you strike up a relationship with a reporter or journalist who may be able to help you with neutrality, are maybe do an internship at local news paper/station.

I am very interested in what info you have regarding Aspen Education, I've seen Dr.Phil send kids to their facilities. He also promotes escort services, and even sent a 7 or 13 yr to Provo

Dr Phil the fraud is a fat, annoying hillbilly who has conned fat load Oprah and housewifes across America with his BS!
Dr. Fraud just spouts out stupid redneck advice and the sheeple fall for it hook, line, and sinker. When fat-ass Phil was asked about his own "largeness," the hillbilly said it was because he was "big boned." That gut sure don't look like bones to me.

Dr. Phil is the most repulsive con artist to date. Oprah Winfrey is just as bad. I loathe the whole Oprah scenario, she is the most narcissistic woman I hav ever seen. Her prodigy Dr. Phil, (we all know he is NO doctor) is on the verge of his major downfall, and then we will all find out that Oprah is as much of a fraud as he is.

I have to disagree with that.  A neutral point of view doesn't prevent him from presenting negative information.  It only restricts him from showing personal bias, like describing the dog cages at High Impact and concluding "nothing was too extreme for the sadistic fucks who ran High Impact,"  or quoting from Litchfield's deposition in the Tranquility Bay documentary and giving a personal observation like "The fat, poison-filled toad is incapable of being honest, just as he is incapable of achieving a hard-on...both actions are out of the realm of possibility for this inbred Mormon mutant,"   That's not a neutral point of view.  Maybe honest and true, but lacking in hard proof.  (pun intended)

A parent is also more likely to come across an entry on Wikipedia  than they are to stumble onto Fornits for the unadulterated truth.  It's a good thing C.O. is doing.  As he mentioned to me once, as a  Dane he's much harder for the SLAP laws to reach, and Denmark actually values and protects the right to free speech, which America seems to be viewing as less than important.                            .

Sadly no, there are still alot of parents out there who'll think it rarey happens and will take the risk, they woud never dream it would happen to their child, and frankly they're so desperate they'll take the chance anyway

Good luck with it though.

Aspen is bigger than WWASPS by a long shot.  Also the spin off WWASPS programs are privately owned and operated programs.  They are on their own vs. being under the umbrella of a larger corp.
