Just wanted to update Zach's status. He returned home after his 18th birthday. We have reestablished a relationship with him and he is doing very well. pam

What about the very committed parent that has tried everything to reach their son and has shown nothing but support and love for their child?  Sometimes it is not a question of bad parenting. Sometimes it is more complicated than that.

We recently received news that Zak was in Asheville, NC October 31 st. He is still out there somewhere, but we have had no more information come in on his whereabouts.

Ursus- ps. my dad also said that his grandmother's name was Harriet, so what you found is probably the same family tree.

Ursus, I talked to my dad- he thinks his dad was possibly in the Vermont guard because he did live there, and he thinks that was probably a part-time thing as the national guard is  because he knows his dad also had another job. The geographical areas of these people are right, but the 1837 date would have to be someone my dad wasn't familiar with- an ancestor, as you said. I was ribbing myself for mistaking a relatives name, but glad you set me straight. My brother, David, and my dad really enjoyed looking at the family research you pulled up. Thank you for doing that.

To the guest- thank you for your thoughts and to Ursus- thank you for correcting my misspelling of my grandfather's name!

Hi
Tom, Joe, and Joan are the biological children of Georgia Warren and Abile Smith. Their dad left, remarried , and had little to do with them. They consider Brownlee Gauld ,their step- father, as their father. Tom( my dad) went to Harvard, as did Brownlee. John and Mickey are their half brothers, biological children of Georgia and Brownlee. I can't recall if one of them went to Bowdoin; I think John may have. I lived in Mobile, Alabama from 3 years of age until I went to Hyde as a 9th grader my 8th grade year. Pam Gauld Eveland

Tom, Joe, and Joan are the biological children of Georgia Warren and Abile Smith. Their father left them at an early age and remarried. Brownlee Gauld was their stepfather and they seemed to have revered him.Tom, my dad, went to Harvard,as did Brownlee. I don't think any other brother went to Bowdoin. John and Mickey are the biological children of Georgia and Brownlee, Tom and Joe's half brothers. I did grow up in Mobile Alabama, until I went to Hyde as an 8th grader.  I'm happy to clarify any other family questions. Are any of you on facebook, because there are many people from Hyde getting back in touch.

ps it looks like I posted the same information twice, because I didn't see it the first time, so I rewrote it. Sorry.
