The weather has only been measured for the last 200 years or so.  In the grand scheme of things this is only a millionith of what we could possibly know about it.

I read somewhere that weather should actually be looked at on about a 10,000 year cycle because that is what scientists believe the cycle runs.

I had weather class in college.  The same question was on every test--

What is the one thing that all people who study the weather know?  The answer is that weather is unpredictable even in with the best equipment.

The college prof. actually said that if you want to know what the day is going to be like--open the door and look outside.  He really did know his information.

For me it is a little warm, but where can you find a place that is 60-70 all year round.

I also love the rain, i've been in drought before and the rain not only brings life, but for me, is quite cleansing and soothing. I love to watch things grow and spring up.

It was just a little hard yesterday when the glare of the sun and gale of the rain storm were both hitting the windshield.  I looked for a rainbow, but didnt find one.

Straight, Inc. and Derivatives / 'Hooked' On a Feeling...

I lost my virginity at 14.  I had a 17 year old boyfriend and we used condoms. Personally, I dont feel what I did was wrong or sick--we experimented.  I dont feel that my parents didnt love me--or that was looking for love that they werent giving me.  My mom didnt even have a problem with it because I was able to let her know what was going on.

I dont regret it, and I dont feel that I was too young.  We stayed together throughout most of my high school years.  When we broke up--it hurt but again it was all pretty much a natural response for a relationship that lasted several years.

I have had some pretty major operations, and I have a feeling you will do fine.  Just give your self time to recover and rest a lot.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Oh and try not to be too nervous if that is at all possible  ::heart:: .

You know its bad when you are throwing away dishes because they are too gross to wash.

When the clean clothes become a mixture of dirty clothes/clean clothes and you dont know which is which.

When you think that you keep hearing something and you open your cabinet and a mouse has actually built a nest in your cabinet (cooking is another trauma......its hard to cook with no clean dishes   ).

When your dog wont even go into your yard because she's afraid of what might be in the grass which is taller than she is.

When you can right your name in the dust that has collected on just about everything.

Obviously, we dont like cleaning either, but it is our mess and I figure if someone doesnt like it--they dont have to come over!

Everyone is mean and ugly right now. I work in retail, and i am hard pressed to find a single customer who doesn't complain or whine.  You think you have it hard on this board--i deal with a hundred people a day who are not happy.

The war, rising prices (on everything), lack of job and financial security, bad weather, etc. etc. etc. have caused many people to be just plain ugly.  (I have a secret, people have always been this way--not just in this time--I have worked retail for 18 years)

I just try not to let it get to me.  Its not worth it.

By the way, even with the hard times that are going on, be sure to remember its what you do that counts, so if you can come out of the day saying that you have caused less grief then you have seen, perhaps you should be happy.

Sleep...sleep...That's how it began.  No.  It cant be! I am not supposed to sleep.  No way. I can't be one of them, but she knew what was coming as she slowly began to lower herself on the bed.

She had heard the stories several days before. They're friend had dropped by to tell them the news.  People were just falling asleep.  At first she couldnt believe it.  Wow. Just pulling a Rip Van Winkle and not waking up. No way.

But soon she began to sense something the next day--something she couldnt put a finger on. Something that had been growing in her for awhile. Something that she had ignored for a long time.

There seemed to be a definite change in mood.  The tenseness of the situation had seemed to evaporate.  It was interesting.  The inner calm she was beggining to feel.  This wasnt like the vain attempts a yoga or the dreaminess of downers--oh no this was something different.  I kind of elated mellowness mixed with anticipation of something to come.

She could feel it.  All of her senses seemed to be sending out feelers at once trying to pinpoint it, but it wasnt there yet. not yet.

Watch the muffins? My husband was one of those PEOPLE on a mental ward.  I dont know if a psych tech can solve problems, but muffins is very offensive.
