Watching you evolve over the past few weeks has been my greatest pleasure. The way you form sentences, the way you carefully pick your little faces to elaborate on your feelings, the way you have now graduated to including snapshots in your posts; I am just so proud to have sparked the fire. We need to work a little bit on your sentence structure, and lack of (or misuse of) commas and periods. Your ability to just make someone realize the error of thier ways through a computer monitor is astounding! You should be doing more with your gift then wasting it on this site. If I was to give any constructive criticism though, I would have to tell you to use your words though. The pen is more powerful than the emoticon. It just makes you look lazy when you add all those things in; it takes away from the text involved.

Didn't quite have the opportunity to check out the posts this weekend because I was too busy with a life, but there is something I need to get off my chest!

You are all right. I have (along with others) only posted to this forum to collect valuable data from those scorned by thier troubled youths. I keep all my data in a locked safe in the basement of the Pentagon for future use to destroy all behavior modification institutions.

I want to commend all of intellegent minds on this site for being able to accuratly recognize my tell's. I hope you all continue on your dedication to get well from the immense trauma you all suffered at the hands of such horrible people in the back woods of Maine.

Several of you will be mentioned when I meet with the officials in charge.

In my day, we heard all sorts of things about Elan, and I think there were even a couple of kids that did time at both Hyde and Elan.  Hyde has since cleaned up its act somewhat, but it is still all about thought reform to modify behavior, or the other way around: behavior modification to achieve thought reform!  Either way, its one coercive trip and a half!  Yuk!

This whole forum cracks me up, honestly. I had no idea this entire website even existed 2 months ago. Now, I find myself checking it on a daily basis to see what bullshit is going to come out of the next person's keyboard. I was a resident in the early 90's and I can tell from some of your descriptions, that most of the whiners in here must have been there before I was because I remain in contact with current staff and know all this shit hasn't happened since I left. SO here's my point: I find myself having pity on you people for..
1. Not being able to find people in your own lives that you can vent your day to day frustrations on instead of anonymous people in cyber-land.
&
2. Not having enough of a life that something that happened (with mathamatical probability) 20 years, or so, ago still consumes your daily routine.


But after all is said & done..like I said you crack me up! We are fortunate enough to live in the United States of America where freedom of speech is taken for granted and Jerry Springer rejects feel it is necessary to spout their own insecurities on others via bickering on a public forum website. Entertainment for the masses! Thanks, I'll bring the popcorn for tomorrow's show!!!

I have no problem answering any questions you have. I really do feel like the program did a lot for me. Of course no teenager wants to be "locked up" for "acting out", but in my circumstance..I has happy to go at that point. It really is a different world at Elan, very hard to explain if you have not been through it. I would be happy to answer any specific questions you have though, just ask...
