Jodi, huh?---Yeah, 'sigh'---me, too. I ran into her in 1993 at a pool room on Windy Hill Rd. We smoked a joint in her car. She was working as a stripper at Boomer's on Cobb Pkwy! I never managed to go see her there, Dammit! Last I heard of Jill she was being a surrogate mother for someone. Little Bobby Dillard a Navy Seal??? That seems odd. I've exchanged emails with Haywood Cranford, Carrie Carmichael, Holly Wagner, Mike Williams, Greg Dykes, and a few others. I didn't think you would remember my being your newcomer since it was only for a night or two. I just remember the long ride from the building with you and Eddie. He had an old Pontiac or Oldsmobile, didn't he?
God, I have to strain to remember some of that stuff.
I find it fascinating now to correspond with people who were there with me.

Yeah, poor ol' Clay spent damn near all the 80's in Straight. You took it in stride, though, huh? Probably even worked at Mr. Pride Carwash at one time or another. I know I did.

Hey, Kausmonaut! Thanks for the reply. It's good to find other Straight survivors that have done well. I have managed alright, but I, like most others, have been forever scarred by that ordeal, and fairly often, still, find myself having to "get over it" again, and again. I am even actually angry that I didn't know then what I know now. I should have copped out and went "straight" to a lawyer's office and sued 'em all for violating my civil rights. But, that was then, this is now. I shouldn't be ranting in this post, anyway.
Good to meet you---it's better we met here than in that hellhole.

Cool! I figured you would be on the net. I remember Ed being pretty screwed up his whole program. It took him forever to move up in his phases. I think a lot of us were more screwed up when we came out of Auschwits...oops, I mean Straight. I'm still not over it (as obvious from my presence here on this board). Anyway, I was you guy's newcomer for one or two nights during a setback. Surely you remember who I am. I was the real handsome guy....(just kidding!). No, remember, I had an electric guitar stolen from the Dillard's BMW trunk? I always requested 'Do Lord' for a song, and had a really deep singing voice. I worked at Marietta Country Club for a long time with Mike W. from Athens. And Mom Rellinger was infatuated with me. Anyway, I remember you and you're mannerisms very well. You were always jovial and really humorous. And around 7 feet tall, it seemed. It's great to bump into you here in 'cyberStraight'!

I've been on hiatus from the Straight forums for quite some time now.(I found myself caught up in all those bad ol' memories there for a while, and decided I needed to focus on more positive things.)
I've managed to contact several old commerades from the Hellhole I was in down in Marietta, GA. Ain't the internet dandy?
Anyway, if you were in Straight,Atlanta during the late 80's, chime in just in case we know each other. Or just chime in anyway. ; )

Oh, wait. That would have been '86, right? You were on your 'mini' during my first time through.

Hey Clay L! I'm pretty sure I know you. Didn't you return to Austell Rd. in '87 or so for a 'mini program'? You worked at a fancy restaraunt in Atlanta with a guy named Eddie, right? I was on a 'mini' program, also that I managed to drag out for 8 months 'till I finally copped out.
