I've spend the past 16 years or so of my life thinking about that place and everything that went on there. i was checked in on August 26, 1987. I actually graduated in Feb 1989. Not that I should have...I even went on to work at the location in Virginia Beach/Chesapeake. I'm mortified to think of the things that went on there. I've tried to put this place out of my mind for so long but with kids...so many things remind me of being a teen and I wonder...I couldn't have been that screwed up. No one deserved the treatment that went on in that place. It's inhumane & demoralizing. I spend my time now ensuring people's rights are respected and upheld. Very sad. I don't know whether to apologize for being a part of that place or seek restitution.
Not sure what I expect from this...maybe just other people who understand or have been there.
