A little psyche humor there. It's from the movie, Anger Management.

You say there is but one way to worship the Great Spirit. If there is but one religion, why do you white people differ so much about it?

....Goose-Fra-bah.....Goose-Fra-bah...

If one cannot state a matter clearly enough so that even an intelligent twelve-year-old can understand it, one should remain within the cloistered walls of the university and laboratory until one gets a better grasp of one's subject matter. -- Margaret Mead

The Troubled Teen Industry / Who 'IS' Paul?

YIKES, Paul.

Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind.
--Thomas Paine, American revolutionary

What if you can't find what you hid.

It's there, but learning to recognize it again is a difficult road. Identity was the key thing they stole from program survivors. Re-identifying means changing habits that you learned in order to survive at that time. Changing habits takes time and practice. Some may never find what they buried, unfortunately, but there is always hope. In the end it comes down to a personal choice one has to make. I know that sounds cliché, but it?s true.

Question with boldness even the existance of a god; because, if there be one, he must more approve of the homage of reason than that of blindfolded fear.

Scenario; A healthy minded individual offers his/her opinion and input to a crowd who boos them off the stage. The man takes his things, thanks the audience for their time, and leaves.

What he does not do is stay and try to reason with raving lunatics yelling, "fuck you!" and "get the fuck out of here, you jackass!"

The PROBLEM is that Paul, continues to engage with people who clearly do not take him seriously, and think he's an ass. WHY would he do this unless it was in some way serving him to do so? Paul's passive way of playing victim to the Fornit's board has hooked you, Carmel. Has it ever occurred to you that maybe Paul just likes to argue with folks?

This board is full of bullshit that people have to wade through in order to find value. I don't think much has changed except for more traffic over time. More traffic = more bullshit.

In addition, Paul does flood. Article after article... Day by day by day by day. People have every right (whether productive or not) to express to Paul how they feel and what they think. As you said, "This is an open forum."

Paul has chosen to stay, regardless of the onslaught of insults that have followed him, it is a choice he is making.
Lastly, the rules of etiquette he broke were technological, not social.

I cannot believe in the immortality of the soul.... No, all this talk of an existence for us, as individuals, beyond the grave is wrong. It is born of our tenacity of life -- our desire to go on living -- our dread of coming to an end.
--Thomas Edison, American inventor

That's called Posttraumatic Stress Disorder:
Intrusive memories and emotions that interfere with normal thought processes and social interaction. Flashbacks feature auditory and visual hallucinations. For example, the sounds and images of  the Straight, Inc. program and other programs often comprise the content of flashbacks experienced by these program veterans. Flashbacks can be triggered by ordinary stimuli such as a song from group or a confrontational situation, anything that brings to mind an aspect of the event. Nightmares and night terrors also feature aspects of the traumatic event.

Dissociative symptoms include psychic numbing, depersonalization, and amnesia.

People with PTSD commonly avoid stimuli and situations that remind them of the traumatic event because they trigger symptoms.

People experiencing hyperarousal symptoms are always on the alert for danger or threat and are easily startled.

Of all the enemies to public liberty, war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other.

He can't seem to help himself, is incapable of backing down (much like animals) and shows very little self-control.  He?s a self-admitted bipolar, and from my experience, bipolars don?t know when to stop pushing, and don?t know how to hold their tongues, even when nothing of value can come of what they say. He's rude and he feels justified for no particular reason because he can?t see past his own needs getting met.  He has delusions of grandeur, which?s why he has this arrogance and irrational self-entitlement issue with the people of this forum. He can?t relate to what you survivors talk about because he?s not one, and has nothing substantial to add, with the exception of his own one-sided, self-serving, fish bowl perspective. I was leaning his way too when I heard he was banned until I saw exactly what it was that Ginger was talking about with my own eyes. It is old. It's old and I've only been following his posts for 2 days.

The above quote is the kind of antagonistic goad that a selfish person uses whose only goal is to hurt, insult, or flame. It serves no objective and adds nothing but fanatical emotional instability to the discussion. He?s a name caller and an instigator.

Ignore him and he might go away.

The greater the ignorance the greater the dogmatism.
