Title: kinda suprising
Post by: Anonymous on October 29, 2002, 11:14:00 AM
Ya know I was thinking....It's a bit suprising that more people from the most recent years of the program, like 95, don't post here....have they discovered this site???....We're supposed to be more "technologically advanced" than some of you older people who are lucky to know how to use a VCR...Kinda odd don't you think???

It would be nice to hear from people from my time.  Alot of people on the site are people from those years.  I would love to talk to them or respond to them on the BBS.

Sometimes it takes years for people to get the guts to talk about it. Sometimes it takes them years to allow themselves to think about it. Sometimes it takes them years until they accept that they were abused, and try to reach out or research it on the net. There is probably a lot of older people because you've had more time to mature and accept Kids.

Even more than that, some of us were using the net before KIDS (like me, as far back as 1991) and therefore it was one of the first places to turn to right afterwards (about 1994), however to some people, the internet was largely a new phenomenon, people who were in KIDS for its closing stretch may not have been exposed to it as much as the rest of the world. Relax, they'll catch up

TO all,

I would just like to drop by and say hi, and reply to the comment about the more recent people of Kids.  I was there for only a short time luckily, but seemed like forever.  I was there in 95-96, and have actually seen and spoken to one of the other kids that were with me recently that stayed there till the Secaucus sight closed down in 99 or 2000 I think.  Well, anyways, anyone else here from 95-96 might remember me.
