I am thrilled that you feel good about your experience at CEDU. I hope that at some point in the future you recognize that you are responsible for your life not a defunct institution. You 'turned' your life around.
For me CEDU was not a positive experience. I am not filled with hate, but the closure of the CEDU schools gives me a small comfort, and hope for the future. I am hopeful that our society is recognizing that children deserve the same rights as adults. I am hopeful that there is a societal recognition that the Behavior Modification "Therapy" is a fraud and does lead to irrevocable harm. I am hopeful that in my lifetime that a dysfunctional family can be treated in tandem, instead of isolating the squeaky wheel.
Honestly, think back to the raps and prophets -- how many students have stories of sexual and/or physical abuse? [Nearly 100% right?] These programs that serve to quell the squeaky wheel and return the wheel to a dysfunctional environment do nothing to address the systemic problems that caused the child to act-out in the first place. These programs serve only to mask the symptoms.
Yes, I am thrilled that CEDU no longer exists. And I am hopeful that the schools closure is a harbinger of a paradigm shift on how we, as a community, treat children and dysfunctional families. Maybe, just maybe, we can start on the hard work of treating systemic challenges that lead the child to need treatment in the first place.
can only say that i think it's a shame that so much talent is wasted on HATING!!!! That SO many kids just don't get it...and obviously NEVER WILL!!!!!!! I can honestly say that CEDU turned my life around...the friends i made there are people i could turn to at ANY time .....same with the staff!!!!!!

There is a blue pickup truck in the driveway at 13280 4th St. East, with an Indiana or Illinois license plate. I was going to photograph the license plate, when Virg himself walked out the door to check his mail !!! He was wearing his priest robes, and looked at me directly in the eye with his satanic stare!!! What a rush!!!!! I am literally shaking as I type!!
It's now 2:15 pm, on April 5th, 2005. He's there people. Go get him!!!!!!! peace, a"
