I remember having to sing "easter parade" while we paraded our home-made easter bonnets. It is a somewhat fond memory for me (as straight memories go) b/c it was sort of fun. We were allowed to be somewhat creative and the hats were very silly. But then I think someone got in trouble for putting something "imagey" on there bonnet, and it ruined the fun we were trying to have in spite of where we were. I remember the fun times well b/c there were like three. I was there for 2 easters.

Is this the day that celebrates the belief that a Catholic priest, by saying the right magic words, can turn wine and crackers into the blood and body of a dead Jew?

How about table salt into cocaine?  Aspirin into amphetamines?  Or maybe just some sage into TBPITW?

No, they do that every Sunday. Today is the day they celebrate some rabbal rouser's friends having faked his death and snuck him out of the country.

Here's some history on the rituals you're talking about.
