Ginger,
Have we really had a rash of new people this week, all who post one-line questions about odd-ball programs and/or asking about subjects that were discussed a day or two before?
Or are all these lovely inquiries, for the past four pages, all been from the same person? A troll with an interest in pushing more important topic further away?
-
deborah,
i am not sure what a troll is, but i am really a new parent for the past couple of days. as i wrote before, i am unemployed right now and very interested in these topics since years ago i did have a teen that needed help. sorry if i wrote to many questions, i am just learning. sorry, i will try to write more. i need to learn to type first. sorry.
-
i just realized you think that i am ignorant? sorry if i am not educated in these forums, i was politely trying to get help. call me ignorant, fine, but atleast i am trying to help.
-
If someone disagrees with Deborah,IT MUST BE A TROLL OR AN IGNORANT PERSON! Right Deborah?

In all fairness to Deborah, it seems a logical question to me. If the poster is not a troll, fine, but we've had our share around lately and it did look like someone was trying to push the threads off the first page. If that's not the case, wonderful and welcome Anon.I don't go lookin' for trouble. I just keep a little in a box should someone come by who is.

thanx cayo. i didn't realize pushing pages or whatever that is. i guess my curiousity got the better of me, but i will try now to stay on the topics. you dont mind if i post a new question now and then?
-
Of course not! Questions are welcome and encouraged! The "Search WWF" function on the left of the screen is helpful. There are numerous topics here and its much easier to use that to find them.

Don't feed the trolls and ignore the bullshit posts. You'll find that we're a volatile bunch of crazy bastards at times but most of us mean well. Things get very heated sometimes, just wait it out. There's so much great info in here. Don't get distracted by the crap....from either camp, we're all guilty of it to some extent.Distrust all in whom the impulse to punish is powerful.

Cayo, Perhaps you could be more specific on how the newbie can decifer what are bullshit and crap posts. Generic comments like that can be very confusing for a newbie.

Sure. Your posts are mostly crap. How's that?

There was a Courtroom tragedy in GA.A man on trial stole a deputy's gun and killed the judge, a deputy, and a court reporter. This is what WWASPS and other programs are trying to help families avoid.Being a murderer on the run. Being on trial. Being in jail for a life sentence.Think about that before you go spewing hatred towards such programs.

Anon newbie,
How bout picking a sign-in? Until you do, I remain skeptical about your intention.
And perhaps, if you are going to ask 10 or so, quick questions everyday, how about you start your own thread "Questions from a Newbie" and contain your posts to that thread so you don't dominate the forum. That would be considerate and appreciated.
-
what is funny i was goign to sign in because cayo was so polite but deborah you seem very snobby. i see most on here are anon and honestly maybe there is a reason for it now i don't know. i am sorry you dont me, but i guess you dont trust the others either. cayo, thanx for your posts. you atleast care about pple.

Boy, it's really hard to tell, Deb. It looks like two people, but there's some very strange routing for one of them. One of them has shown an avid interest in The Whitmore and PURE for about 12 hours straight before trolling a bit in this forum, then finally posting a bit over on Whitmore. Now they're alternately spamming the forum w/ one liners, bad mouthing ISAC and plugging The Emancipation Project.
Any guess who that is? Anyone? My view is that if there is no evidence for it, then forget about it. An agnostic is somebody who doesn't believe in something until there is evidence for it, so I'm agnostic.

I think it sounds like Sue. There are some strong similarities in style. But she insist she never reads fornits.
Can you say if the following post comes from the same IP as the unemployed "newbie"? If so, This would indicate the newbie isn't as new as they claim.

Is this unemployed newbie in Florida?
As for looking like two people, that would be easy enough to accomplish with an accomplice.
Be interesting if it is in fact Sue.
You'd have to wonder Why, wouldn't you?

Or even with two ISPs.

this is amazing i dont know why a newbie is being put attacked. is this what you do to knew parents? is it some sort of initiation? sort of like hazing at a college? this is not a good way to keep newbies coming in. maybe you dont want new thoughts or quesitons. i dont know a sue or whatever else. i did post on a whitmore and a elan and a mission thread. does that make me a troll? what is a troll anyway? i was only curious.
-
one more thing, i am not bashing isac i was only saying they dont have the authority people or staff that emancipation project has. damn, it seems you all bash and attack with assumations from left field. i guess like deborah called me ignorant, i guess i am here.
-
Go read Whitmore awhile--a good reason WHY? Seems like Sue and the Sudweeks don't like Joyce Harris posting AT ALL, and will post anything to shut this woman up. Will even post confidential informational about her minor child.
This "newbie" seems to be writing on the Whitmore site too, and expresses lots of opinions about Mrs. Harris, who she coundn't possible know if she's a NEWBIE. JUST sounds too too coincidental to me, to be someone who "just showed up and joined in...."

I agree with everything you said, I have the same suspicions. I was just responding to what was written in this particular thread and was willing to wait and see. When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans ...... And so a lot of people say there's too much personal freedom. When personal freedom's being abused, you have to move to limit it. That's what we did in the announcement I made last weekend on the public housing projects, about how we're going to have weapon sweeps and more things like that to try to make people safer in their communities.

Happily married for going on 15 years now. What is this new loyalty? It is, above all, conformity. It is the uncritical and unquestioning acceptance of America as it is. It rejects inquiry into the race question or socialized medicine or public housing, regards as heinous any challenge to what is called the system of private enterprise, identifying that system with Americanism. It abandons evolution, repudiates the once popular concept of progress, and regards America as a finished product, perfect and complete. The concept of loyalty as conformity is a false one. It is narrow and restrictive, denies freedom of thought and conscience... What do men know of loyalty who make a mockery of the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights?

What does that have to do with anything we've been discussing (or trying to, you guys don't seem to keen on having an acutal discussion) here?

I have found myself in this forum from time to time because when I do searches on the most serious subject I have ever been involved in - I do not need to explain - I am routed here.
I have to say I am extremely disappointed at seeing people trying to bash others who seem to all have the same end goal. Helping these children. And how sad for the children who find their way here to see adults acting worse than they do.
I do not profess to know too much about who you people are, because I do not visit here often. But I was disgusted to see a few things that seem to be here only to hurt others.
Don't you people think there is enough pain going on in the lives of people who are directed here, that they don't need to find a bunch of people who appear to have nothing better to do than hurt others. You may not all get along but for the kids, the hurting parents, the hurting extended family, and anyone else involved, why don't some of you just send each other personal emails instead of bashing other people in a place where people come to find help.
I will probably not visit this site often, if ever again, because I find this disgusting. I really needed help and was seeking help. But all of you sound like a bunch of incompetent people so I will be looking elsewhere. Sad, really. I have a very serious problem to deal with and now I will not trust any organizations that were mentioned in a negative way because I cannot be sure any of them are not caught up in some strange - well, I don't even know. I just do not feel comfortable.
I hope it makes you stop and think.
Also, this whole "newby" thing is absolutely ridiculous. Like I said people find this site because they are in pain and looking for help. What on earth is wrong with a one line sentence? Some people do not even know how to type. I wonder how many others will feel the way I do? :???:
-
Well, I'm sorry to say that what you see here is a pretty accurate representation of the troubled parent industry. That's why I like to call it that. I think it's a lot more accurate than to call it the troubled teen industry. (unless you want to think of it in terms of Ray Bradbury's "fire men" in Fahrenheit 451)
Sorry, but it is what it is. Forgiveness is divine. Forgetfulness is just a mental dysfunction.

actually for the record, i am done posting here to. it is really mean and the name calling, as they say i am ignorant, is uncalled for.
-
Really? Well this is NOthing compared to what these kids get once they're in some of these programs. Ignorant? Try sick, twisted, dirty little whore? How's that feel? What, you think that was uncalled for? Yeah, I thought so too. At least I knew it was bullshit and had some understanding of how and why to let it roll off. Some of the girls I saw getting the treatment were really shattered by it.
But it's all in the game, huh?The drug war places Leo in a round room and instructs him to piss in a corner.

Yeh, the shoe's a little tight when it's on the other foot. What you have experienced here is a drop in the bucket. If you, and others, only knew what your kids were/are being told.
FYI, "ignorant" isn't a 'name', it's a condition... and if the shoe fits.....
-
I tend to agree that the trolls - or whatever they are - are desparately trying to get important threads off of the first page - there are so many ridiculous topics from people who sound like they have room-temperature IQ's. There are some crucial messages that need to stay in the forefront - in my oppinion
#1 is writing to the governor of Utah to urge him to sign legislation that may make hundreds of programs a little safer for the kids subjected to them.....I hope that everyone will do this - because it only takes a minute.
#2 is to protest the opening of Mark Wardle's new death camp in Nephi Utah. Write licensing board, Ken Stettler and the newspapers to protest this action. email: kstettler@utah.comThe weavers of linen and hempen cloth, ... may exercise their trades without paying any fine.
