dont you think day schools would be safe if your child came home at night?

it would depend on the school, but for the most part, yes. also, not all boarding schools are bad. tradition boarding schools that are under strict state guidelines for the most part are very good. my daughter attends one that is fantastic! they go snow-skiing, play tennis, swim, golf, have trips to movies, mall, doservice work with the elderly, and in the community, small teacher-student ratio, about 5 to 1, and live in beautiful dorms and are genuinely loved by staff. the problem is when the wwasps schools and others try to pretend they are boarding schools. they are not. they are nasty, derelict kiddie prisons. they treat our children worse than most people in real prisons. not only that, the mental brain-washing effects can last a life time.
