Title: There are no accidents - WWASP
Post by: Anonymous on February 15, 2005, 08:04:00 PM
There are no accidents that credible news organizations report on WWASP?s abusive practices on a monthly basis.  Parents this is one of many obvious signs that you made a mistake. If you continue to leave your child in the hands of WWASP you are as guilty as they are. Be thankful that this isn?t 1995, you now a have more information to make an informative decision. Stop listening those who are profiting off of you!

Persistent leads to truth! WWASP your dirt will surface to be seen by all.

It wasn?t meant to be cute. I was basically saying they are hypocrites (abusive hypocrites at that).

Apparantly it's already started with the shutting down of facilities

I fail to see the problem with that.

A student burst into his office.  "Professor Stigler, I don't believe I deserve this F you've given me."  To which Stigler replied, "I agree, but unfortunately it is the lowest grade the University will allow me to award."

Geesh, that phrase brought back horrible memories of seminars... and those ridiculous posters on the wall. I remember first going to Discovery watching all the kids and parents make fools of themselves... humiliated by Gilcrease, it's sad really.

Dont send your kid to WWASP, you'll regret it. Bank on THAT!

For anyone who has ever said that the program ruined their life I feel sorry for them. Life gets harder than any program. I guess I just don't understand how anyone would claim that.

Because its kids! It's one thing to brainwash parents, they are old enough to know better. Well, the smarter one's at least. It's a big money making scam, with seminars run by unqualified doofs, and everyone knows this. Spread your lies elsewhere.

Lies! Nice try. I don't lie. You may, but I don't. By the way, what specific lies are you talking about? If you have the audacity to accuse me of lying then you surely can point them out. Go right ahead and I'll adress them. Lies, no. Opinionated yes. Learn the difference. :wstupid:

Perri,

No offense, sweetie, I know your time there was helpful for you, but please realize, you are in the minority. These places have completely ruined some people's lives! As far as the Bethel closing, I know you are a kind-hearted, loving person. Surely even the chance these girls were being abused is upsetting to you. I can't say my daughter's time there was all bad. It was just enough time to make her see how bad things could really be. But, even though she was only there for a few months, it is obvious that she feels deeply betrayed by me for putting her through that. I am not sure she will ever completely forgive me for making the mistake of putting her there. In hindsite, I see that there were other less drastic options I could have taken. I was lied to by WWASPS. If it was over a business deal, or something like that well, I would just go on about my business and forget it. It wasn't. It was about my child. The most important thing I have. I cannot forgive and forget, and many others feel the same way. Keep an open mind, girl! Everyone's experience is not the same.

By the way, "There are no accidents," is just their blanket cult-speak to explain everything that doesn't go the way they had planned, or expected. That way when their kid does not progress or goes south, they can explain it away by saying this. I say "cop-out!"

CHI3,
I've never said that the ones that were abused were lying. I am aware that it does happen. I don't excuse it. If anything I agree with the need of a reformation. However, I don't think that many people keep an open mind insofar that it helped me and others I know. The whole reason I am on this forum is to gain knowledge in all the aspects. This includes those who are opposed to it.

Well, Perri, if that's the case, I think you will gain a lot of insight as to what others have endured. I know I have. I also, try to keep an open mind, but, it is hard to feel any harmonious thoughts for these people.

My mom thought the same about me, she still thinks i hate her for sending me away. But I don't, she is the most important person in my life today and has been for a long time. It was 24 years ago i was in boarding school. So go easy on yourself, give her some time.

Plus the fact that you took her out probably meant a lot to her. She knows your human and that mistakes happen.

You're right, Perri. My dad didn't take me out of the program. I actually had to go through the courts w/ a CPS lawyer/advocate and support from one of my brothers.

But afterward, there was the early rudamentary version of what has become the 'exit plan'. Basically, they disowned me, hoping I'd fall flat and come crawling back. But when that didn't happen after a few months, my dad broke ranks. Not saying I didn't have significant problems getting on track, I did. But my dad had gone back to the old fashioned "plan A" where parents love and support their kids unconditionally, set high expectations but don't use coercion. It's like he figured out that we both had a lot to figure out and he quit being so harsh and judgmental. Meant the WORLD to me.

It's really never too late.

The college idealists who fill the ranks of the environmental movement seem willing to do absolutely anything to save the biosphere, except take science courses and learn something about it.

Maybe that's why you "escort" today?  Just a thought.
