Mandy, I think the company elan used was called North Country Rivers. They are located at West Forks or "The Forks". There are several companies that do the same thing. Moxie Outdoors is nice because you can use their kayaks  and canoes while you stay there. They are located on a lake. Also, Magic falls,Located on the dead river. Their water smelled SO bad, I took baths in the river at night and brushed my teeth with bottled water. I guess their well isn't deep enough and has something funky in it, although it is safe if you can stand it. It wouldn't prevent me from going back.
There is also Crabapple. They have great food.

Yes, The Kennebunk(sp),and The Dead rivers make "The Forks". You can see it on a map.
