some I recall are:

United Straights

I'm straight hear me roar

If your straight and you know it clap your hands
     w/hand clapping, foot stomping dance

Over Hill Over Dale   we will hit the druggie trail as straight goes marching on.
We'll scream, shout straight with out a doubt as straight goes marching on.

An Army chant that went;
Sitting on the sidewalk getting high
 Dallas police come walking by
threw me in an intake room
Told me I would be straight soon.
Sound off 1234, 12 34

Going good, just back to Colorado, was in Texas  ::puke:: for a week.

With all that Straight this and straight that
straight goes marching on bullshit, I sometimes think they were tring to wash us into being their "War on Drugs" soldiers.
I know they sent me out on a grip of "speaking engagements."
And didn't some DEA guy post on here a while back, or do you think that was bullshit?

No it wasn't BS, it was me. I'm not a DEA guy, I am a professional who doesn't want the DEA to know I was in a drug rehab 20 years ago because I maintain a license with them.

My methadone taper is going ahead of schedule...down from 170 to 99 mgs...should be done in about 40 days...then Ill have another 3 to 7 weeks of hard cold turkey withdrawal followed by hopefully only 6 months of ass ripping depression...then its all gravy..
We had a great X mas ...first one Ive had in years..didnt go to Midland though just did holidays with her family...which is alot less disfunctional than mine so ..whatever it was cool.

I remember singing "Nine to Nine" w/ the words changed to "I'm here at Straight and feeling hate/
Nine to nine I'm doing time"

"Sing Halleluia to the Lord" became "Sing Halleluia to Pink Floyd", and "Little Piece of Tin" became an ode to my air guitar:

"I've got a little piece of air
No one can hear it but I don't care
Got six strings and a whammy bar
It's my electric air guitar"

I used to LOVE to play air guitar in Straight---it irked the hell out of Staff (and cost me a few delicious Straight meals---Love ya, Mrs. Boker, you make great soup!)and it always struck me as funny how something as moronic as playing air guitar could get them so riled up.  One doofus who confronted me said "Air guitar was a big part of my past and I don't appreciate you doing it in my group".  Sheesh!   I had fun singing "War Pigs" during a homes rap one day, too.  Mark McCowen even let me finish the tune.  Wonder how many Straightlings "felt weak" hearing me belt out a Sabbath tune.  I'm sure all the guys in that homes rap are strung out on whiskey and smack nowadays.  That's the power of the Sabs, baby!

He was her adopted son, and apparently had completed his program. He was in the Marines and came to lead an "exercise rap" one day.  That's all I know about him.

Hey SS, I've heard and read real good things about Subutex(sp?) Have you looked into it?

Oh, and I just realized something. I may have put a song onto the Straight playlist from The Seed.

Did you guys sing Go Down Moses? Most of the time, when someone split or got pulled, they'd quit singing any songs that person had taught to group. I heard they 86'd Come To The Waters (which I'd learned from my Christian school choir class). But I wonder if they kept the Moses one. It was really a good song, sung in 2 part harmony.

Funny thing is that, though Art was an avowed athiest, that was a Seed song.

Hi name is Tom.  He was a good guy from my dealings with him.   I heard he married that bitch Wanda Minton.  Is that true?  I could not imagine waking up next to that cold bitch day-in and day-out.
