Wow, this is crazy...It's always interesting to hear what people say about elan. There are so many people who just need to move on, no one had an easy time in elan but is there really a purpose in sitting on your ass blaming others. I know bashing others is what gets some of you off, but at least write your fuckin name and man up.....personally christa I WOULD like some more of your wisdome.....I have heard shit about so many people on this site, Marc Rosenberg being a drug addict, no shit........huh....mabye thats why he was there telling us about it so we wouldn't follow in his foot steps...Its real funny to hear shit about Drew from people who didn't even know him, cause I did and he was a decent guy trying to help us....The list goes on, it is shamefull that people on this site take these people's pasts and bash on them...That is why they were there trying to help us, whether or not they did, there intentions were there. You will never find peace if you continue to blame others for the pain you feel within yourself.....I was in E-8 from 94-97.....feel free to hit me up...

first i didn't post to help anyone with anything. positive renforcement ? sounds like most of you elan freaks received that already, that didn't help because you still complain about how screwed up your lifes are.

Finally. . my name is not important. All i know about elan is what i've read here. i'm from chicago and i am a passer by who starting reading this self pity bullshit along with other things about a month ago. Did my "demeanor" tell you that ? You have no clue what you are talking about

There is no reason to call Chrysta those kind of names.
I do believe some people from our era have a legitimate reason to complain CONSTRUCTIVELY (that means not venting bullshit forever), but let's keep it civil here. At the root of it, we all share a common experience that no one else understands. Besides, a lot of us were total assholes to each other in Elan, there's no reason to treat each other like that here.

You must have something going on in your life that brings you so much anger, something that you aren't able to deal with on your own. How noble of you to get on a chat site and take it all out on someone you don't even know. How manly of you. maybe you should go back to Poland Springs and "drop a slip" on whatever is bothering you. hey Linds, nice to see you hop along. Cant believe we havent spoke in sooooooo long....sorry about the past. Ive grown a lot even since Elan. I do still run my mouth though, just about more constructive things...ie .-to my husband-(take out the garbage, mow the lawn...blah blah blah )lifes different now, and as I always say....what you make of it.

yeah, its been a really long time since we have talked. i've been kind of torn to leave elan and the whole experience in the past or get in on the chat rooms and stuff on this site, do you ever feel like that? like just leaving it behind and moving on to the future or the present? to be honest with you, I made the decision to leave it all in the past, you know you grow up and move on and make better decisions for yourself, it seems like the way I was was a different person than who I am now. Does that make sense?

a whole lotta sense!!! I have also pondered over whether to leave it behind or not. Clare told me recently something that made a lot of sense. She said you dont have to put elan down and try to make it sound and seem insignificant in order to find where it fits in your life. I took that to heart and found where it belongs. As a significant part of my past. I built great friendships that I hold dearly to this day. I have fond memories that I cherish. I try not to look at the unpleasant times as we all know, I had many.

I've only kept in touch with one person, Emily. and its hard to stay in touch with her, we are just both busy. and when the drama happened with Jeff, it opened my eyes that you just don't really know people, but we always knew that he wasn't quite right, ya know? do people talk about that on this website? i haven't really seen anyone say anything about it. that really did something to me. I used to have nightmares about it. did you?
