Why WHY WHY WHY! I've been here for almost 6 months and it's doing jack shit for me.
DAMN EXTENDED CUSTODY BULLSHIT
-
If you're 18 years old, then man up, quit crying about it and leave! Jesus Christ! Do you need someone to hold your hand or what? You have nothing to cry about. You're 18 dumbshit- just leave.
-
bryan, extended custody means you're not allowed to leave... the court system has taken away your right to be an adult.
-
yea, extended custody sucks, i had it too, so i know how ya feel
-
Is extended custody court ordered? Is it the courts or parents that decide more time in hell is required?
-
yea, your parents go to court and ask for it, they have to have proof that you are not able to be "on your own" and make "safe" decisions. it's very easy for parents to get it if you're at a CEDU school because you are there for not making "good choices." you could also try to fight it in court, but you are VERY unlikely to win. after you get extended custody, you no longer have the legal rights of an adult, you are treated as a minor and your parents have a say in everything that you do and where you can and can not go. for instance, when my parents got e.c. <- extended custody, while i was at BCA i would get sent to N.I.B.H. if i screwed up and got "kicked out of the school." i would have to finish high school there at N.I.B.H. and we all know that wouldn't be fun. does that make sense?
-
How long does extended custody last? Does it last until a person turns 21? Who orders it, which state(s)?
Would it be possible to beat extended custody
by splitting and running to a state that
doesn't have extended custody laws?
Or is extended custody the law of the land for every state in the country?
If I were one of these kids, I'd split to
Canada and apply for citizenship there!
Seriously, The idea that Cedu can do this to people is mind boggling!
I can't believe it! please explain more...

not all states allow extended custody (i think) and it lasts until your parents or legal gardian goes and has it taken off. so you can have it for your whole life basically. mine was finished when i graduated BCA.
-
sounds like a cult if they say they know what is best for you and believes they are helping you at the same time threatening you
-
What a racket!! I saw on-line kids at a house that was controlled by staff that would direct them. I thought, who would want such a thing. Now I see they had no choice. It's sounds perfect for a bunch of parents that are nothing but fucking control freaks and don't know how to raise kids.
-
i think parents can get extended custody until the "kid" turns 27.
-
At about $60K a year, that's one hell of a racket. If kept until 27, then that'd be over a half million $ for the 9 extra years imprisioned. Being held that long against your will would be enough to drive anyone crazy.
