Did anybody else see Farenheit 9/11?  If so...what did you think?  I watched it for the first time last night and I thought it was very powerful.  It shed light on alot of things I was not aware of about Bush.  I wish there were some way to have it broadcast on public television before the elections, I think it would swing alot of people in the other direction.

I saw it in the theater. I loved it. Propaganda or not, it was a great film.

I bought the DVD the second day it became available.  The first few ten minutes had me mad enough to throw a brick through the screen.  It showed how the damn election for President of the United States of America was easily stolen by a bunch of crooked assholes and how Bush just up and took over.  He is not a President, he is a fucking Crime Boss.

The thing that set off alarms with me was the minute or so of complete darkness yet the soundtrack of the French documentary 9-11 played loudly in the background.  I am sure Mr. Moore had enough funds to play the royalty fees to use the footage, so why did'nt he?  Well maybe it is because of something I noticed the third time I watched the documentary with a neighbor.

There is this scene where the brother Gedeon Naudet goes out with Engine One to investigate a gas leak.  As they all pile out of the firetruck and break out the equipment, he pans the camera and does a fast focus reference frame of the twin towers.  You can clearly see how the whole damn street is blocked off by fire trucks AND some type of large city vehicle.  Why did they block off a whole damn 5 lane wide one way street when the gas leak was on the far corner in the only area that even contained gas lines?  Well kids, I think it was because they could'nt risk losing the only sure fire money shot of the first plane hitting the tower.  Well who is THEY Uncle Jerk?
THEY are the people that made sure that the only footage Michael Moore used was what they WANTED him to use.  All in all he did a pretty good job of showing how everything escalated after that.  My biggest fear is that the upcoming election will be just as crooked.  If Bush wins again I fucking might just swim to Cuba and do standup at the Copa Cabana or some shit.    :flame:  :flame:  :flame:

Look at it this way, a conservitive film maker could have put the same spin in the other direction, the fact that Michael Moore is so far left of center and it is impossible for him to be non-partisan makes for good old fashion propaganda. It would be impossible for him to promote fact, in some cases he did but it was skewed at best. Not a Bush supporter here but I know spin when I see it, most of HIS "Facts" were closer to his opinion and what he wanted you to believe.
