Post by: Anonymous on September 04, 2004, 09:20:00 PM: Hey all, my first post ever. Really on anything like this. Been lurking for like 2 years. Scared to not be anonymous right now b/c I have a DEA license and am paranoid the wrong people could be watching.

In straight-sprinfield 1-6-87 to 12-15-88. 20 months on first phase. Three-time "copout"/full-time "pud" and "headgamer". Still doing that, meds help some. Had no idea how much pain i still have until like 4 days ago when i started reading this site and the straights.com. Going thru alot of hurt this week, remembering crazy shit.

Parents gave up and withdrew me after 2 years. Today I am a successful, yet neurotic professional, in a great marriage with three of the most beutiful puppies anyone has ever seen.

Bufus Gammons told my dad that I would be dead in a year after leaving.

I think i know you, steve. BTW, i think that I'm in that pic on the fager website, back right after a copout.

Hey thanks for you all doing this. It feels so good that the people reading this understand. It has been impossible to explain this to anyone over the last 16 years.

Sorry to those who feel that anon-writers suck. Just can't do it right now but wanted to speak.

Thanks for sharing... (pardon the pun, but I can relate!)... I am certain I know you, as I was a "pud" for quite some time and was also in the front row of that infamous picture on Wes Fager's site thestraights.com. I was in the Springfield location for a good part of the time you were there...

I too am a professional with a license, and I can understand your hesitation in disclosing your identity. If you would like to send an e-mail out to me, I would be happy to hear from you, as I am always on the lookout for people I actually knew while in that place (and as always would not disclose your identity to anyone)... I must admit it has always been hard to talk to "outsiders" who weren't there to experience the program, so I understand the difference in coming here to read or post to people who know what we went through... It is very relieving to know you are not alone...

I remember Bufus... I thought he was some ex NFL football player, always wearing the suits and nice clothes and gold... It was Bill Kniseley who said all of the same stuff to my parents... How I'd love to find him now, although I don't know what I'd say or do to him if I did run across him... Funny how a lot of my anger has been redirected after all of these years...

Thanks again anonymous for speaking up... I do hope you will feel up to sending me an e-mail, and would understand also if you chose not to send one to me... Just wanted to let you know you are/were not alone with those fears...

Would you care to reveal the full details? If it was heinous enough to cause two staff to quit, the story should be told and catalogued for history. Leaving out the name of the individual who was the victim. I hope he is okay. I would not be.

Also, does Rob know about the existence of this site?

Haha...no, Brent was definately never on staff. I think I know who you're referring to. Their was a guy from the cincinati program named brent or brendon who came on around that time. What incident are you referring to?
