I'm up to page five. I think the plaintiff's lawyer ought to be comended for unusual restraint in that, so far, he hasn't told this asshole judge to dispense w/ the stupid tough childhood stories and allegories. What a pompus ass this guy is! He reads like an old Dukes of Hazard script!

Anyway, thanks for getting this out. Very interesting reading, for a number of reasons.

On top of which, he's factually incorrect in this statement:
Quote
but you must

14    follow the law as given in the instructions whether you agree

        15    with it or not.

In fact, it's the right and duty of a jury to judge the law and/or the application of the law. It's called jury nullification and without it, Wm. Penn the younger would have been just another sorry sap murdered anonymously by the British Royal Crown.

Is uniformity [of opinion] attainable? Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burnt, tortured, fined, imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch towards uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites.
Thomas Jefferson

That judge was using so many metaphores - comparing the calling of witnesses to a basket ball game, golf, cards.  Interesting...

Devlin, some of these pages seem to be out of order. Where's the rest of Jordon Blair's testimony? Should be page 12, but the page you get when you click on that link is something else.

We will make mistakes. Learning from them doesn't make us heros. It only gives us a passing grade on the evolutionary scale.

 I try to read some more of it everyday.  Man, that Judge was biased from the get go.  I couldn't believe some of the stuff that Judge would NOT allow.  I guess though it really helped to show that even with every obsticle thrown at the plaintiff and his lawyer, justice prevailed.  The jury still could tell this kid had a story and had been abused.  PRAISE GOD!!

the pages are not out of order i just screwed up big time in naming the web pages. Look at the court pages themselves they have a sererat numbering system on the web pages. I was rushed when i turned the transcripts into HTML format.  I will fix the names when i can. But they are in order.

No, if you click on page 11, it ends off w/ Jordan's testimony:

"24    to -- no, 1999 was the year I finished my ninth grade year.

25    The year 2000 I went to Miami public schools.  And then in"

When you click on page 12, it starts w/

"1    matters such as the adjudication in Crawford County, so we

2    want to take that out.  We're objecting to --"

Doesn't make sense.

Ok, I think I see what's up. Seems that 12 - 18 contain content repeated from earlier. Pg 19 picks up again w/ Jordon's swearing in.
