im a former resident of the whitmore academy. in all honesty this program is very sugarcoated, fake, unloyal, and sick. I would not recmonend this program to anyone. it sucks. It's based on the mormon religion and you are brainwashed and forced to basically become a mormon along with a pile of other shit. i did no school there and there are no teachers there. if your parents ask you hows school going, you will get in serious serious big trouble if you don't just say "good". you are not allowd to cry. theyre all liars. things get violent and physical over there. i definitly think cps should check the place out. when you are there. it's not the kids against the staff and owners. it's everyone against you. the website is full of shit. the pictures are full of shit. it's just a very sugarcoated program thats the best word i could use. everything is kept descretely. the [arents are lied to. i saw my parents once that whole year and when i did i was not allowed to ahve any alone time with them. i got accused of something i didnt do and was automatically going to be sent to a wilderness program without any evidence. keep in mind im a pretty tough person who can take a lot and has been through the mill, but this was a painful experience that i still get nightmares over. please, if you want help for your child please do not send them here.
