Welcome to http://www.Kidsincourt.com (http://www.Kidsincourt.com),
Kids in court is a volunteer based group that is addressing the issues of Juveniles being Tried as Adults in the Court Systems. We would like to change the laws that allow children as young as 12 to be tried as adults in State Courts.
We do NOT judge innocence or guilt, but address the treatment of our country's most valuable resource, our children. Without public pressure on the State Governments and prosecutors, this will NEVER STOP.
Tears of happiness, tears of joy, tears of disappointment, tears of love. All, things we knew and experienced when we were young.
Sometimes our legal system causes the young to helplessly waste all their tears of despair on a concrete floor with no one to comfort them.
For the rest of their lives there are no tears left for themselves or others. Emotionally spent, devoid and empty inside.
The most cruel form of punishment is denial of existence. Our legal system applies this daily to hundreds of children.

This is What the Future looks like to a Child in Court or Jail.
Some guilty, some innocent, some victim of circumstance
Arrested with no parent present, no Miranda rights being read.
Confessing to please the authority figures that we have taught them to always trust regarless what.
Yes, times are changing.
But NOW it's time we change the laws that allow this to happen.
The United States and Somalia are the only countries that still have not signed the International Child's Rights Law yet, WHY?
Please get involved before this happens to someone you love.
