I have been wanting to learn to play guitar better and be in a band for quite some time now and was thinking about a good name for a Tribute Band for our experiences with Straight Inc. After countless names having to do with everything ranging from the death of Helen Petermann, to Mel Sembler's penis pump exploding, I have settled on a quaint and simple yet powerful name. DAMN STRAIGHT. I think it fits. It could mean many different things and yet still comes back that Straight Inc. should be damned for all time. Plus it's a little less offensive than the "Motivate This" logo and would be a bit more acceptable.
I finally broke down and splurged $225 dollars and had Franken'Strat rewired with a new Seymour Duncan hot rail and tuning keys. It had sat immoble and useless for over 10 years and enough was enough. The damn thing sounds like an Eddie Ball now, and even though I had to put it all on plastic, I think it was worth it. I take lessons every Tuesday from a lady who is older than Yoda who holds a doctorate in music as well as several published compositions. I just work part time 5 hours a day now, so that leaves plenty of time for practice.
I want to do a blood and guts rendering of our Straight Experience done to the rarely heard Stooges tune called "Open up and Bleed." Feel free to send me your own lyrics concerning this.
I remember there were some early eighties grads that lived in the Largo/Seminole area and had a garage band going for awhile. E-mail me if you are still around. See ya later

funny --- you despise Semler and Peterman so much that you ALLOW them to control and envade you to this day?!?! You are consumed with your hatred and threatening ideas, therfore allowing them to have a HOLD on you YEARS and YEARS later. You GIVE them control this way. sad

Cool man ...guitars are so fun man.. I had 4 of them and a little 4 track that this little Bitch named Alex Burns broke.
Had a line 6 computerized amp (1100 $) a crate 2x 12 and a marshall micro stack..
Lost it all to put dope in my veins during my post divorce mental breakdown.
Learn to read tablature...so you can play along to records...and HAVE FUN!

No, they do all they can to interfere with our lives w/o any help or encouragement from us. Oh, of couse they do take a lot of our money and make as many laws and regulations as we let them.
Here, learn something, then speak. http://thestraights.com/reports/dfaf-an ... policy.htm (http://thestraights.com/reports/dfaf-and-drug-policy.htm)
If we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them but to inform their discretion by education

Damn Straight is a great name, Bob. Seymour Duncans are single coil or stacked Humbuckers? I've got a Mexican Tele that I've been wanting to put some other pickups in other than the stock ones that it came with. They sound fine tone-wise, but they're a little noisy. Someone recommended Lace Sensors and I think that's what I'll end up putting in there. What type of guitar is an Eddie Ball? I've heard of Ernie Ball strings, but never heard of Eddie Ball anything. You mentioned somewhere else that you got yourself a Fender amp..what kind was it again? Back before straight, I used to play through a Fender Bassman that had 2 x 15's I think...it sounded pretty good with a 72 SG...
I look forward to hearing some of your recordings..

Well, I had already read that --- don't buy into it. and you all DO keep your victim status alive and active through your posts
I went through a similar program, didn't like it at first - dealt with it (never "abused" - nor did I see anyone else abused), got something out of it, moved on, give back to others in a positive manner now. Use my experiences to better myself ... not hold it against others and harbor hate and anger.

Hey let's get back to the guitar gear..
Somebody...anybody?

You mean you simply choose to ignore the facts? Well, then I can see where all you learned in the Program probably comes in very handy in real life.
I'm not really all that bitter or angry. But I do have a concience and enough prescience to understand how the people who brought us Straight, Inc. (et al) make public policy backed by force of law is unwise, at best.
Every act of a delegated authority, contrary to the tenor of the commission under which it is exercised, is void. No legislative act, therefore, contrary to the Constitution, can be valid. To deny this, would be to affirm, that the deputy is greater than his principal; that the servant is above his master; that the representatives of the people are superior to the people themselves; that men acting by virtue of powers, may do not only what their powers do not authorize, but what they forbid."

??? concience? prescience ??? Is that suppose to be "conscious"? What is "prescience"?
:???:

I've been looking at things in a negative light/ Clipping my wings in the middle of flight/ My motor is running on the heartaches of life
But it's getting me nowhere fast
I've been reliving hurts that seemed far away/
Sifting the dirt that covered the grave
Of the petty offenses I never forgave/ But it's getting me nowhere fast
I will remember not I will forgive/ These things that tear my heart/ I will forget

??? concience? prescience ??? Is that suppose to be "conscious"? What is "prescience"?
By the context it's obvious that she meant to say conscience - (which she did, though she misspelled it) and not "conscious" as you suggested...
Main Entry: pre·science
Pronunciation: 'pre-sh(E-)&n(t)s, 'prE-, -s(E-)&n(t)s
Function: noun
Etymology: Middle English, from Late Latin praescientia, from Latin praescient-, praesciens, present participle of praescire to know beforehand, from prae- + scire to know -- more at SCIENCE
: foreknowledge of events: a : divine omniscience b : human anticipation of the course of events : FORESIGHT
Now about those pickups...

Ran across a BC Rich today with an EMG in a pawn shop. After I tried it out and complained about the pick up not working, the $600.00 price dropped to $75.00. Plus it had no strings and other problems. ::rocker:: ::rocker::

Come step inside my hate you know there's nothing to it
Step inside my pain you'll never make it through it
Once you're sucked into my sado-paradise
Lose your mind inside the pleasure lies within your pain
Drown in my hate you know, you know
Brutality's the way of this world
Branded and scarred defy, defy
A comatose and blind existence
Hatred holocaust you see in me
Its more than just a way of life
I've re-invented the way
I relate to this complacent world
All of life decays
Rapes my eyes
Screams never silence the pain
Death is like an old friend
I can't wait to watch you die
I am you vice so real, so real
Desires of the scars of new flesh
Bathe in you blood excites/incites
The ritualistic lacerations
Inhumanities profane, insane
Inflicted since the dawn of time
Make your peace with God - goodbye
And embrace the pain that burns inside you
All of life decays
Rapes my eyes
Screams never silence the pain
Death is like an old friend
I can't wait to watch you die
I can't wait
Come step inside my hate you know there's nothing to it
Step inside my pain you'll never make it through it
Redefine your life in sado-paradise
Necessary cleansing of the mind's eye
Love and agony electric ecstasy
Can't get enough euphoric serenity
Stains won't fade away forever scarstruck
They never fade away forever scarstruck
Drown in my hate you know, you know
Brutality's the way of this world
Branded and scarred defy, defy
A comatose and blind existence
Your like the walking dead so blind inside
Oblivious to psycho pleasure
I am your new God - unGod
So if you want hell here I am
Everything around me decays
Rapes my eyes
Screams never silence the pain
Make you my canvas of pure, fresh, flesh
Scarstruck

Reagan, what would you say the intent and purpose of jail is?
Is it for punishment or to protect society from dangerous people?
Or both?
This is the law...and you fucked up and broke it..so as pennance you must now live in a metal box and wear a jumpsuit for X time..
or is it...
Because he broke X law he is dangerous and in order for society to be safe we must put you in this metal box for X time so you dont harm anyone? No it clearly isnt that ...if this was the case they would never release anyone..
Comments?

Infamously marked by every generation known
Somehow they look like, the dicks from generations old
But the're new
No one in here is trusted
To kill everyone is to love everyone
Do what you can till your busted
Then keep the word, then keep the word
Never to be trusted,to kill anyone is to love everyone
Rise up and never be busted
So keep the word,So keep the word
Infamously hated,kill every generation known
It's stupid that they look like, the generation fucking old
But the're new
The're new because the media says so
The're new becouse the media likes it
The're new because the media sucks up
Gro your hair,as long as a hippies
But we're not hippies
We're slippys
Like the manson family
Dress like a target
Target us,with massive and sweating hands
Target us,'cause in your minds i'm afraid you don't exist
We're rising up

Money$$$$$$$ Most of my time in jail was due to delinquent fine payments.
Punishment vs. Dangerious
Martha Stewart = punishment
Charles Manson = dangerious
security levels
max
med
low
the classification system is fucked up. Last time I was in jail was 2 1/2 years ago for an unpaid speeding ticket. I didn't want to pay the fine and voluntailly choose to do the time (5 days). Because of an escape charge from 1992, I'm always put in maxium security with 2 guards walking with me everytime I leave the pod. No trustee, no priveleges for me. Even though I turned myself in to clear a warrent, the pigs follow the formula of the system.
One time in Midland I was arrested for rolling a stop sign. I was clear from warrents. I went for rolling a stop sign. I asked the cop "Don't you usually give tickets for this" The piglet responded "officier choice, I don't like you and you can bond out"
