First of all, I am willing to put it all on the line for my beliefs.
I am 28 years old, father of two young children ages, 10 months old and 5 and a half years old. Their names are J- and J-. I am the General Manager of a manufacturing plant building satellite battery test fixtures, and various satellite launching components. -That's just a little info about me.
I can only TALK about something without commiting myself to action for so long before I consider myself a cowardly hypocrite with a bitter taste in my MOUTH.
I suggest we use this Forum as a place to discuss
real action. I will even invite others to my home, or I will shut down my business and use it as a place for a meeting on the subject.
We need to find out when the masses of ignorant parents come to CEDU for visitation.
You wanted to speak up then but you couldn't, because like myself, you were court ordered to the school (which is a long shocking story of injustice) or you were sadly temporarily corrupted by those who were supposed to be helping us.
Well, my idea is that when the masses of parents show up, that the first thing they see when they pull up off the highway is our peaceful dissent. We will organize. But we need to plan it. We will make signs, each of us to our own liking and do what is our right and also our DUTY to those who are still oppressed.
We will stage a peaceful organized dissent on public land, and we will take away one of the main elements that contribute to this bad situation.--ignorance.
We will make the parents (who are the ignorant financial backers of the evil plan to corrupt and oppress, and abuse innocent children) aware of what they are supporting.
We will show up in such large numbers, that the Media may even show up and give us an even larger Forum to express why CEDU and its affiliates MUST be immediately shut down!!
Surely there must be some on this site that are as disgusted as me.
Maybe some of us believe its not our problem.
Well it is our problem. CEDU school is protected by the same laws and system of justice
that people on this forum want to use to bring it down. That is just illogical. So whose problem is it if not ours?
If we complain about injustices commited against us and expect others to care or even do something about it, what of others who at this very moment are stripped of almost all of their CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS and forced at CEDU into slave labor.
So call me on my cell at 310-756-4534 and lets throw together some ideas on a peaceful organized dissent. I think it would be best to do it on the day all the parents show up for visits. Or we could even do it at the Hotel (I forget which) where they hold their parent workshops.
We must do something, or live our lives knowing that we had the chance to help in a truly noble cause, but because of our lack of conviction failed our fellow man by inaction.
If we don't act (act NOT talk about acting) then
the suffering of these innocent children lies NOT on the hand of the CEDU fascist philosophy but on us, for knowing about it and doing nothing.
This is not how I want to raise my children and I hope it is not how you want to raise yours.

We could even call the media before launching the protest, so they can be ready with film crews.

Bryan, contact Joe Nelson at the San Bernadino Sun. I'm sure he would be interested in learning more about your experience at Running Springs.

Girl says she was raped multiple times at private school
15-year-old tells deputy her complaints ignored
By JOE NELSON , Staff Writer
RUNNING SPRINGS - A 15-year-old girl and former Cedu High School student has told sheriff's detectives two students repeatedly raped her over a six-month period on campus and that school officials did nothing to stop it.
The teen "is alleging the school covered it up they didn't tell anybody,' Detective Chuck Wyatt of the sheriff's Twin Peaks station said Thursday.
The girl, an Oklahoma native, was sent to the expensive boarding school for troubled teens in September 2001. She said she was raped shortly after by the 18-year-old men. She immediately reported it to school officials, who did nothing, Wyatt said.
She said that she was raped at various locations on campus, Wyatt said.
"She was restrained. Overpowered if you will,' Wyatt said. He said he is trying to track down the suspects for questioning, but declined to name them, saying it would jeopardize his investigation.
It was unclear if there were any other reported rapes or other victims.
"That's what I'm trying to find out,' the detective said.
A team of 16 sheriff's detectives and deputies served a search warrant at the school in the 3500 block of Seymour Road on June 1. They searched the premises from about 9:25 a.m. to about 8 p.m., according to a sheriff's dispatch log.
Wyatt wouldn't disclose what was taken during the search and said the file has been sealed.
Sheriff's detectives launched the investigation into the school in May after another California law enforcement agency that Wyatt refused to name submitted to the Sheriff's Department the rape report the girl gave the agency on March 19, Wyatt said.
George Condas, vice president of operations for Cedu, which has campuses in rural areas across the country, said Friday he was unaware of the allegations.
"I'm not really sure what this investigation is about. We had a search warrant and are cooperating with the authorities. We're still waiting to hear back,' Condas said, declining further comment.
Wyatt said he will eventually submit the case to the District Attorney's Office for review but has more investigating to do before that happens.
Tuition at the school typically runs $5,000 a month. Students with problems ranging from drug and alcohol abuse, depression and prior run-ins with the law are its main clientele.
Historically, the sheriff's Twin Peaks station has received numerous calls from the school reporting runaways or disruptive youths, said sheriff's Detective Mark Rodgers.
Between Jan. 7 and April 25, the Twin Peaks station took 18 reports of runaway teens from the school, and there were 41 calls for service, Rodgers said.
He said some students have gotten trapped or lost trying to hike down the mountains toward San Bernardino through dense brush.
On Feb. 8, student Daniel Yuen, 16, of Edison, N.J., ran away from the school after his second week of attendance. He remains missing.
There have been recent sightings of him in the San Diego area, as early as three days ago in Mira Mesa, said his father, Wayne Yuen.
News of the reported rapes at the school did not come as a surprise to the elder Yuen on Friday.
"My son told me that other students there were 10 times worse than him. I feel that that is why my son ran away,' Yuen said in a telephone interview. "Maybe that's why he's so scared. Maybe he doesn't want to go back to that school, and that's why he keeps hiding.'
Others praise the school. Myrna Steinman, of Chatsworth told The Sun in a previous interview that her 15-year-old grandson's experiences at the school have been nothing but positive and productive.
"Cedu is not a lockdown school. Any kid can walk off that campus any time they want to,' Steinman said.
Certain types of youths with a propensity for running away belong in a lockdown school, she said.
She said she has never seen or experienced anything that would change her opinion of the school, and added that her grandson flourished during his two years there.
"He has done so well that anyone who meets him now can't believe it's the same child who went into the school,' Steinman said. "What moves me most is the love the staff has for the children.'

Bryan:
First, have you checked out the yahoo group called TheRapSheet? I highly recommend you take a visit.
Second, you have a great idea. This could be our own form of "reunion".
How do we get it going?

give me a date, i'll fly out...
when i was at cedu, they were using the riviera hotel in palm springs to do their werkshops and stuff. it's possible that they're still using it.
by the way, this is a great idea.

Okay, so how do we get it going?
We must agree that for one person alone, it will be, to say the least, very difficult to defeat the system.
Therefore I propose that we must organize and meet in order to create strength in numbers.
We could do this in several ways. We can use this or other internet forums, we can use the telephone, and of course we can meet in person.
I am not very up to date in using the internet so
I would need much help in setting up an organized meeting through the internet.
In this meeting we will each suggest our ideas to the best course of action.
Some suggestions may relate to:
1) Creating a comprehensive written statement of our views regarding the wrongs being committed at CEDU and its affiliates.
2) Bringing to light concrete examples of how legal rights are being violated. (denying freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly)
3) Discussion of when, where, and how to create our peaceful organized dissent.
4) Bringing together all of our known resources-
(detectives, media, current and ex-staff members)
5) What we should write on our picket signs to best get our point accross.
6) etc...
"I don't propose to have all the answers or the solutions, I only know that I will never compromise in the face of adversity." - Jamie Jasta.
Let's just throw some ideas together. I know that for various reasons, people are scared to come out of their anonymity against CEDU. I can understand. But to the few courageous ones (even though I believe they are actually many),
I ask you to come forth and believe that United we stand and divided we fall.
We have a voice and we will be heard.
Let's pool together all of our resources.
All it really takes is for numbers of us to express a desire to speak out in peaceful organized dissent.
I trust that the spirit of Right will wisely guide us from there.
I also know that there is a general feeling of skeptism and pessimism and defeat regarding this issue. I want everyone to know that I am NOT playing around. I am serious. We MUST get involved.
There are numerous examples throughout history where the SEEMINGLY weak have defeated the seemingly strong simply through strength in numbers.
All it ever took was courage, patience, wisdom, strength, and most importantly ACTION.
None of us possess fully any of these virtues, but one of us may have an abundance of courage and be willing to share with another.
Another may have an abundance of patience and be willing to share with another.
Another may have an abundance of wisdom and be willing to share with another.
Another may have an abundance of strength and be willing to share with another.
This sharing is what will create the action.
This is how we will get it going.
We are not willing to be defeated. And we will never be defeated as long as we work together.

It's taken years to build the critical mass - use it or lose it.

Maximus in North Idaho is wity you to protest - when those slime buckets have a parent conference. I can find out when. We will gather people together - just like the march against racism in Coeur d'Alene Idaho we will meet them with signs and draw in the media. Then we can do interviews with the media to explain our position on the death camps of CEDU.

There once was a boy named Jerry Vancil who claimed to the St. Pete Times to have been gang beaten at Straight, Inc. Before the prosecutor could set a hearing date, Jerry Vancil dissapeared. No one has seen or herd from him since, dead or alive.
The family never filed a missing person's report. Do they know what happened to him and don't want to say? Is it as benign as that maybe he just moved out of the area and doesn't have an interest in pursuing the issue? Or did he run and never contact them? Or is he really gone? I honestly don't know. I do know, though, that usually, when people go missing, they turn up again somewhere in the next 25 years and, in the mean time, their families make a public effort to find them.
Have you seen Jerry Vancil?

I was just thinking about ways to garner some media attention and to lighten things up. Ever heard of the Biotic Baking Brigade? http://bioticbakingbrigade.org/ (http://bioticbakingbrigade.org/)
Basically, they put together the information they want out there (I often, or usually, disagree w/ their positions but love their methods!) Then they stage the pie toss in front of rolling cameras. Key to success here is to make one very brief statement as to why they're targetting a particular individual and state, at least three times, the name of the organization (BBB, in this case) so that people can look into it if they're piqed.

I don't think you have much of a chance at trying to fight CEDU by citing violations of your Constitiutional rights.
I don't know how old you are, but if you're a minor I think most people won't care. An attorney might listen, but without concrete proof I don't think he'll give you the time of day.
Also, most people are going to believe that an institution that deals with troubled youth needs to be strict. A place dedicated to dealing with troubled youth pretty much has a mandate to do whatever it takes to get the job done. No one ever looks into such places. After all, how can you trust the inmates? They're troubled!
I remember sitting in the wood corral at RMA and coming up with the same arguments with my friends years ago. It's just pie in the sky. I imagine the powers that be would reason that students, being minors, are not really expected to exercise their freedoms as adults do. That's why they can't stop an 18 year old from walking out the door, but can halt a 17 year old.
